played w/ James Randall at Downtown Tonight. We were both pretty frustrated throughout the session. This one guy walked right into the circle when I was about to try a Mobius, so I said watch out you don't want to get kicked. he then turned around and stood right in the middle of the circle saying "I don't care. I'll walk right through your game." I then said "i was just looking out for you. I don't want you to get kicked". his reply was "I don't think you could hurt me". and then he kept walking right into the middle of the circle and said some more comments that sounded threatening.
Managed a few cool things though:
-a few swirls
-lots of fusions
-alpine legbeater>string
-atomic opp drifter>string
-atomic opp blender>string
-janiwalker>bullwhip>short string
-fission>string
-barraging ss legover>string
-inside muted grifter>string
-had a decent attempt at janiwalker b2b

I hate those strangers that are probably having a bad day and vent it out by ruining other people's times. Maybe its like road rage but without a car and on a sidewalk?Sporatical_Distractions wrote: This one guy walked right into the circle when I was about to try a Mobius, so I said watch out you don't want to get kicked. he then turned around and stood right in the middle of the circle saying "I don't care. Whats bullwhip?
Question mark?
bullwhip = gyro double down
Fuck footbag.
My gaylights:
-janiwalker
-mobius, p blender in guiltless string
-other half of rubberman that I haven't hit
-very very very clean terraging butter otter'd (the only reason I missed it is because I slipped for some reason, then forgot to try it again)
-flip bedwetter, out of nowhere, first try
That guy was a fucking asshole! I was super close to just going off on him. He was all butt-hurt because they were launching montana grizz shirts and shwag into the general crowd and decided to stand in our circle to catch some goods, which actually was probably 10-15 feet where it landed. When Kevin said "watch out" in a polite manner, he took offense like a little bitch. Then decided to make a point that he was IN FACT an asshole by stepping into our circle three more times for no reason at all. Then Evan called him on it, and he came back and said he didn't care about our "little game" and that he would walk through it if he wanted to. Kevin said he was just looking out for his safety to which he replied, "Heh, I don't think you could even hurt me." I don't remember exactly what he said afterwards, but it was something along of lines of if you did kick me I would just kick your ass.
All in front of his kids and because we politely asked him not to stand in our circle. Wow, props of the century to that fuck.

worst idea ever. and those "gay-lights" sounded pretty good!!!habitat wrote:I'm moving back to Spokane.
to kevin, man i had an awesome time hanging out with you at worlds. you're such a great guy to chill with, we had alot of laughs, so thanks for being one of the highlights of my worlds week! again, HUGE thanks for all your help and for putting up with me badgering you about my pants. i felt very rude after i asked you, because you should have there to hang out and kick bag, not to run errands for me, so i'm sorry i put that on your shoulders! i just want you to know that i really appreciate it. looking forward to seeing you again some time soon-ish.
A.G.
Actually Andrew, they were pretty gay. And considering I didn't fully want to move here in the first place at the time, moving back is awesome. It's the place I can't feel so bad about being so shit at foozbang because I'm the best Spokane ever had.
Oh and your fruit pose is now my background and it makes me laugh every time I see it.
I get to go back to Spokane tomorrow. Not for good, just for a quick visit but I hope to be out of here within a week(s) I hope to not to play footbag ever again. I'm so addicted to it that it's a problem because I get frustrated every sesh that all I do is bring down the people around me and lose all my sense of self-confidence. I'm sure anyone who has played with me would agree. It's just not fun anymore and hasn't been for the past year(s) but I can't seem to stop because of all of friends I have made. Assholes.

I'm out of the woods for the summer! I'm at the freedom shredquarters with Evan, Jere, Sunny, Daryl, Jim, and a bunch of Sunny's friends. I don't know whether to take you seriously James. I'd hat to think that you're gonna bail on the Missoula scene, because it would suck to get back to Missoula tomorrow to find we're out one roommate and have to find another in five days in order to avoid paying out the ass for September rent. I'm sure My old roommate/good friend Marcus would be down to move in. He's currently homeless and looking for a good couch to crash on. I hope you're kidding. I'm really gullible.
I kicked at the New Belgium Brewery tour de Fat today with Jere, Evan, Jim and Daryl. That's the first real session I've had since I was in Missoula. I think I hit like a 15 contact guiltless string that I was stoked on. But, that's nothing compared to what Jim hit.
I'm sort of melancholy about getting out of the woods finally. I know I'm gonna miss being in the woods in about three days, but I'm glad to see beer, real food, and marijuana for the first time in quite a while. I don't think I'm going to go back to youth corps for a while. Next summer, I'll probably get a job with the Payette National Forest, leading trail crew on the west zone. It's like a GS 6 position or something.
Watch out Missoula, I'm comin' to town tomorrow!

Nah, dude I'm not kidding, I'm out. I need to take a long break from footbag and figure some shit out. Kevin already has like 4 people ready to move in so there is no worries on rent money and shit like that
I have my reasons man, I explained it all to Kevin. Sorry things aren't going to work out (well at least in the way of me staying here, the house is fucking awesome man you will be stroked)

James has been working on my laptop and now it works. I'm on the internet with it
Andrew: It was great hanging out w/ you as always. You are one of the first people I look for at tournaments b/c not only are you a cool guy, but you are a good friend and someone that I feel like I can talk about anything to. Don't worry about the pants. I offered my services because I wanted to. If that wasn't so, then I would not have done it for you.
Roomies: Don't worry about James. He's not doing this to skip out on rent. He really wanted to live with his friends in Spokane where he will be more comfortable, make more money, and be able to figure things out a bit better. I pretty much forced him to move here b/c he was planning on living with them anyway and I told him we'd be fucked if he did, which probably would not have been the case. Collin Lund is very likely to be moving in, and James is still paying Septembers rent. So if you guys could step back on your assumptions, do so.

Zach: Anytime you want. we have more than enough crash space for you. was trying to write in your blog about what a fun time I had at worlds hanging with you, but our internet kept cutting out and it never went through. that's what we get for mooching free internet off the neighbors
James: sell things in Spokane to make car repair money?
it's cool more people are posting in here other than just James and I. We live right across the street from a community bike shop named 'free cycles' where you donate time and they show you how to repair bikes and you get bike parts for free. and a sweet river trail straight to campus is a block and a half away.
Played yesterday. 2 hours solo and 1.5 hours later with Jere.

-some long spinning and ducking runs

Yesterday's Out to Lunch shred was probably one of my best ever. I felt like string length and consistency was far above average. I can honestly attribute the improvement to the new pair of Quantum footbag shoes that I got from Daryl. They're about a million times better than the old Lavers, which were extra shitty because I went hiking in the mud with them. Evan's bag helped out too. Too bad it ruptured in the middle of our session. I'm stoked on tonight's session at that other food in the park event.
I'm really stoked about the place on 1st street so far. I squared away all of the things that I've pulled out of storage so far this morning. I'm prepared for any sort of social event that might take place this weekend. But, if we're going to be serious about cleanliness and energy conservation, there are a lot of little things that we'll have to keep in mind as we make our way into the school year. We'll talk more about it later.
