People who want to barter/sell their Gamecube.

Post by Wasabi »

Ok, this has been killing me for the past year, and I've been putting it down for a while with footbag and stitching, but it's killing me now. I want a Gamecube badly.

I used to have a Dreamcast and I was playing the RPG classic "Skies of Arcadia" until my system crashed on me within, like, 6 hours of gameplay. That was the summer of last year. Now, I want a Gamecube (and hopefully Skies of Arcadia Legends) so that I can get my fix. I don't know the marginal prices for the system (probably around $40 without tax) and the game today, but we can settle with a substantial price outside of this topic.

If you want footbags, I can provide footbags. I'll give my right arm to play Skies of Arcaida again! :PLiterally!

Just please, anyone, if you have a Gamecube that you want to get rid of, let me know!

What you should really do is get a Dreamcast that was made in 1999 and burn your own games for it. This includes that game. Hell I could even send you that game because I think I own it for Dreamcast.

I have Skies of Arcadia for the Dreamcast. What kills me is that there are some exclusive downloads that can only be obtained from when the Sega network (forgot the name) was still online. I think they added all of that into the Legends version for Gamecube.

I have found Dreamcasts that are dated from 1999. They cost around $110, give or take. They even have a mod-chip to play both American and Japanese games. I just don't want to shell out that type of money.

I might check Gamestop. I don't know.

I have a modded Dreamcast that I never use, and Skies of Arcadia. I'm not sure if I want to part with it or not, but I thought I would just say that :p Hey do you have lots of Dreamcast games, Waylon? I got the Dreamcast for certain games, but never ended up being able to find a lot of them...

I hope you find a Gamecube for yourself. It really is a great system with some classical games. I never understood people who sell their GCs, they must be insane.

Anywho, here is a list of must-have games for GC:

-Metroid Prime & Metroid Prime 2
-Pikmin & Pikmin 2
-Soul Calibur 2
-Burnout 2
-Viewtiful Joe
-Resident Evil 4
-Zelda Wind Waker & Mario Sunshine
-Paper Mario
-Mario Party

If you throw in some extra cash and buy wireless joypads and a component cable, you are set for many years to come.

Nintendo powah!!

On the dreamcast thing, dreamcasts do not require modchips to play backups :P Either you get a self-booting or you will need the boot-disc. I had over 50 games downloaded (some were rare) but recently deleted them because I was still too lazy to buy a dreamcast. You can put your own music into the games. Dreamcast is the best system ever for many reasons.

I retract my Sale post in this thread; i just sold all the games, controllers and mem card to a friend for AUD$100 :D
It was heartbreaking cos the whole lot cost me an arseload more than that, but the EB was only gonna give me $55 for the whole lot including the system. So ive doubled my money i guess.

Still... it hurts

Now i have a GC system with no controllers to get rid of...

I MIGHT be able to part with my Gamecube.
I just bought a Wii...and as I understand it I can play cube games on the wii.
I only have one controller though. I'll have to think about this.
If I decide to sell/trade it...you could prob just come pick it up one of these Temple Shred Chapters. :)
(I don't have that game though)
