I liked it, the jokes didn't really bother me. I thought it was funny when he George Lopez acted like he was hackin and he couldn't get a girl. That cracked me up cause it's true. Vasek busted out! Scorpion tail, whirrs, superfly, slo motion barfly. He didn't look injured at all.

I havent seen any of it but it sounds pretty fucked up. Do TV shows have nothing better to do than to (presumably) pay a professional, World Champion at a sport to appear on their show and then take the piss out of them?
Surely they could hire a homeless person or a drunk and take the piss out of them instead?
Fuck these people that just want to make a joke out of something that alot of people take very seriously, for no apparent reason. Cheap laughs i guess. Doesnt say much about the quality of your show. Fuck them.

I think you're a little too serious if you're that mad every time someone makes fun of something you do. I actually thought some of the stuff said was pretty funny. Would I have liked them to show a little more respect for the game? Of course, but you've got to expect that a show like that is going to make fun of anything you do that's not mainstream.

The biggest thing I think Jimmy said was "How that's not in the Olympics, I have no idea." I think he was trying to make a joke, but the entire audience went silent because they realized that he was right.

If anything the statements made and the people that laugh at the jokes just show how people view our sport.
From experience who is it you see that really gives a shit and tries to jump in your circle for a try and kicking when they see you playing? People who are already athletes. And of course that isn't America, because we are the most obese country in the world, so it only makes sense. People are too stuck to whats cool and whats not as well, so they fail to see the difficulty of this sport, and are not even willing to give it a try.
I dont think complaining will do anything, just take it as it is and try and progress the sport even further. Every new idea (and footbag is a new idea considering people still try to correct you when you say footbag) will be criticized, but follow it through, making the community look bad, and having Jimmy Kimmel go on the show and say "Im sorry about the comments i made about the world hackey sack champion, i made alot of his fellow hackey sackers furious," and then play one of his stupid clips is just not worth it.
With that said im still very dissapointed at how blind some people are.

Well, I haven't seen the video (so disregard everything I am about to say), but from what I've read I probably would've been pissed too.

That being said, it was a shot at national exposure. It might not have been what everyone thinks it deserved, but what's done is done. Hopefully there will be another chance for exposure that will give footbag the credit we think it deserves.

It isn't productive to bitch to ABC about it, because people in TV don't need footbag as much as footbag needs TV. If we show people working at ABC that we're a pain in the ass to deal with, they just aren't gonna deal with us.

UMMMM... when did the show with vasek air???? somebody get some footage ofmg... I looked on the comcast guide for the show on the 29th of August and it said blablabla and the hackysack worldchamp vaclav klouda.. but i watched the show and not one word was said about footbag and vasek wasn't on. UGH!

Edit: found this on abc.com... wow they totally cut vasek when he started doing spinning moves.. those bastards!

Its not that bad. Did you think he'd devote a whole segment to him? Its network TV, they aren't going to give something totally unfamiliar & untested a whole lot of time because it could just turn into dead air. Although I get this vibe that Kimmel thinks he's Letterman or something.
