Hey FAT!

Sometime soon, I want to organize a "charity" session of sorts, where me+a bunch of you guys would meet at a sports center, shred, and collect money for my local hospital.

My motive is to get community service hours for highschool, so if there are any FAT members young enough to need them, I can get them signed for you.

So, what I want to know, is who could make it to "georgetown" and well, shred!

[no dates have been decided, this is in the very early stages of, production?]

thanks,

-Jay

That's a neat idea.

I'd make the trip.
Just let me know as much in advance as you can and I'll do my best. I am way too old to need service hours, but shred hours never hurt anyone!!

Looks like Sam and I are playing at noon at the deck place near Queen's Park station.

Mike? Alex? Camille?

Hey FATfriends! (I first wrote FATasses and then thought better of it.. though I guess this parethetisical retort negates my good judgement)

I have sorted out the details for Camp Wakahakee, you can now go ahead and book a campsite online or by phone, I got #424 and I suggest you get one close to me so we stay clumped together.

The details are in the Wakahakee thread.

I maaaay be able to afford to come out to TO for a shred sometime soon. whee! :)

Tom's right!

We should all reserve one site. I can certainly make the reservation, as I should be able to do at least 2 days, maybe arriving Friday night or Saturday morning.

Max is 6 people per site, so Me, Camille, Alex, Mike, Adam, and my brother Joel sound good? BTW I have a six man tent (i.e. it actually fits 4). Hopefully Andrew and Cassy are coming too, though, we'd need two sites to accomodate everyone.

Edit: Got a site. You can't book more than one site so let's communicate to get it all organized.

Sounds awesome, thanks Josh. :) What do you mean it fits 4? I'll see if I can borrow a tent or something, I don't have one.

Is that noon session on Monday or was it Sunday? I don't think it's a good idea if I go... but fuck I want to! I have so much shit to do before school starts... yay! I actually mean that, I love my school. :) Maybe I could come play for an hour or two. Please say it's Monday or else this whole paragraph was useless.

Anyway, can anyone come shred at Drum Circle on Tuesday evening? I know it's first day of school blahness for most, but what a way to cheer it up!! I'll be playing there either way, going super early cuz I finish class at 1... so please please pretty please come! I plan to start kicking by 5-6, it gets dark pretty early now. :(

Come come come!

For camp Whakeehackkee (or however the fuck you spell it) I got a definete go, so count me in fo' sho! In terms of equipment, just tell me what to bring and it shall be done. I might be able to get a tent if needed.

Drum circle - I might be able to make it. Depends if I have to baby sit that night. I will know that day...(fucked up) So either I show up at 5 or I don't at all. I will try to drag my 13 year old cousin out to see if he wants to join FAT.

Sweet session yesterday....just working the rust off, but I think I'll be at full capacity soon-ish (before Hackrifice).

I've started working for my good old catering company again, but as a manager this time....I have to play more footbag to relieve the STRESS!!!!!

Can't come camping sadly....girl....blah/yay.

Camille and I will be shredding from 5-8 ish in Queens park kinda near the horse...if anyone thinks they can make it out, that would be awesome.

I'm happy to be home. FAT kicks ass. :)

When did we agree to that?! We were supposed to play at Drum Circle! Which is NOT at Queen's Park! I thought you knew where it was, I thought we even discussed Trinity Bellwoods Park... sigh... I guess I should have posted the directions here. I looked all over for you guys but no one was to be found... I missed a couple calls from a payphone, sorry about that... I assume it was Alex? I wish everyone had a cell, dammit! I ended up chilling out alone for a while until my friends came. Later there was this guy kicking around a Chinlone/Takwra ball, so I joined him and kicked for good while, got him to play some footbag with me too. But by that point it was dark. Blah. But he was a really cool guy and he wasn't half bad either, said he's been playing Chinlone lately with a couple guys in the city, and one of them is apparently the guy who made that beautiful film we saw the preview for.

Anyway, I'll have see about Sunday. Saturday is the Board Meeting, I'll be riding it! :) It ends at the park in Kensington if anyone is interested in playing there... I assume some skaters would be into it.

I can most likely play Sunday. When is the board meeting? I'm busy from 12 - 5 on Saturday. Playing beach volleyball.

Is the Board Meeting some sort of skateboard thing kinda like Critical Mass?

I'm so intrigued!

The Board Meeting is a huge event in which boarders dress in white dress shirts and ties and take over the streets riding in a massive pack! In the past they rode through the Eaton Centre! It starts today at 4:00 p.m. at Yonge & St. Claire, going south on Yonge to King, then back up a bit... I'm not sure the exact route but it ends at Kensington, at the park there, around 5:30 or 6. So I assume that would be a great place to shred. I've played there, on the grass, but I think there are some concrete areas too. About 200 boarders are expected, so I'm sure at least a few would want to kick around a bag! I'll play anyway, and let's be honest, that's all that matters. :P

DIRECTIONS: To get to Kensington Market on the TTC go to College station or Queen's Park station, and either take the streetcar or walk west on College to Augusta Ave. It's just west of Spadina, before Bathurst. Go south on Augusta, that's Kensington! The park we end up at will probably be the bigger one on your right, further down Augusta. It's called Bellevue Square. If not that park it might be the smaller one on Augusta that's closer to College, called Sonya's Park, but I doubt it. Either way, if you have any problems, call my cell: 416-602-1985.

See ya there! :D

Ok, so I want to start organizing more than once a week sessions. I think we should all post our schedules of stuff that can't be moved and see if there are times that work for us.

My schedule:
Mon-Fri: School 9-3
Anything else goes :)
No work, no girlfriend.
And even school can end at 2:00 every other day (spare)

So if everyone could post a potential schedule we can see if anything in addition to the Sunday session is possible. Two possible sessions coming up are:
-Sunday shred? I'm in. Who else? I'm thinking 2:00 at Bahen cos it might rain, or the Eglington subway tunnels.
-Monday shred. Camille and I will be playing at my school on Monday at 1:50 in the afternoon. Its right near Downsview subway station. There is plenty of space to play. I will post better directions tomorrow.
