Chadeee!

Post by CautionFragile »

Aight G. So last night I had a session with Dan. It was fun. He gave alot of pointers on stuff like, how I was screwing up my clippers. I have a stiff support leg.
Anywhhhhhhhaiy, Here is what I hit last night. (thanks for helping me out with a hit-list guys :D )
K, so my biggest accomplishment last night was probably the fact that I broke a few of my personal records YEAHBAR!!
First broken record---> B.S.O.S. toe delay..old record - 24, and last night I hit a hundred!!!!!!
Second----> good sided hop-over.. old record - 1, new record, 12, woo, and 3 flipside.
I didn't get a chance to hit the rest of my list until I got home and did it in socks :?
Hopefully soon I'll be able to hit the whole list B.S.O.S.
That's all for now.

Ever have a gassy shred?? :?
It happened to me last night. Every time I hopped a little pfft came out. It felt cool and was fun 8)

I'm cushioning my clippers with my support leg more now, and the trick feels way better. Thanks Dan

Doing consec pickups is the funnest thing I can do so far. Tonight I think I'm gonna be chillin' by myself so I'm gonna try and learn a new trick. Not too sure what yet :?

At the F.A.T. shred on Canada Day, I hit a fricken Dragon. HAHA. As if. I'm also getting some neat combos.
I love Infinities.
OH YEAH!!! Last night I stuck a Dimwalk :D . I think that's what it's called anyway, pixie to butterfly :? ??
So yeah, I LOVE FOOTBAG!!!
Also my favorite combo right now is legover to op gway.

So everytime I shred, my knee ends up throbbing for days afterwards, and walking is pretty brutal now.
I have to go for an ultra sound on Tuesday to see what's going on in there. Also in my elbows and wrists and the rest of my joints because my body is a piece of junk :x
Now I have to be all choosy with when I shred and stuff; no more bus stop killin' it, noo more kicky breaks at work. Now in between shred I shall juggle and train.

Wow, I haven't been in here for awhile :? .

So here's what I've been working on.

I got 8 BSOS legovers the other day, and 6 BSOS pickups, all consec, so that was fun :) .

And last night at 905 SHRED I hit my first 2 Whirls :D :D !!!!!
(and I was super close to flipside, that's for tonight  )

Now I'm gonna start working on spinning and ducking, 'cause I be lovin' dem shitz  , and I'm suuuuuuuper close to both.

I'm writting a RAP about footbag and it's fun. Here's the first little bit....

I have no other stimulation,
Thirty-two pannel manipulation :footbag: ,
This is for all the footbaggers,
Rockin modified Rod Lavers,
Respond faster, to the demands of your master,
He will, bestowe upon you his skill,
NOW SHRED IN THOSE SHOES

So I went to South Hampton this weekend and it was a super good time.
I played a show at my friend's parent's cafe and it was nice and mellow, so I played most of my chill fingerstyle stuff  .
The cafe itself is soooo nice, it's also an ice cream shop/gourmet pastry shop. And South Hampton is just beautifull :) .
So anyway, the whole time I played, there was this old man who just sat there and ate his ice cream with a big smile on his face, and on his way out he told the girl at the counter that that was the best ice cream he ever had because he got to listen to me play 8) . That's the coolest thing that has happened in my music career. Just because he just looked so happy and at peace. He didn't move or anything and he never stopped smiling.

My dad and sister came up to visit me from Sudbury for my birthday(which was Monday) so that was fun.
This is the first yr that my birthday was on a holiday so not having to actually work on my birthday was a super plus :D .

So onto shred highlights as of late.
I can hit Whirls erry once and a while now, and I hit my first and ONLY flipside Whirl on my actual bday. Sweet. So the best Whirl link I've done is Butterfly >Whirl.

So I'm working on cleaning my Pixies, cause I really want a solid Dimwalk.

I can totally Neo almost every time, and now I have good sided Nukes 8O
I'mmon smash me a Matador. FIRST 5 ADD SOON BABY!!!!

I'm also working on Quantums now too. Good times. Oh yeah, I also nailed one Nuking Zoid set :?

OMG SHREDDING WAS SOOOOOO AWESOME WITH FAT YESTERDAY!!! I'M STILL THIS EXCITED 8O !!!!

Anyway, I met some new ppl, Andres(sp?), Josh, and Tim. I don't know their last names, but they were all super rad and it was really great to meet them :D .

I hit my first Swirls yesterday, on the way there in a Country Style, and that was cool. It was actually like new trick day. I hit my first few Clipper to Double Leg Over 8O ! And then I got into and out of Dragon from Clipper. I also hit a Dimwalk, but I've hit that before. Still cool though. Yeah.

I'm now working on Drifters and Dada-curves. I was soooooooo close. Footing stuff is almost as exciting as actually sticking it :P .

So after shred, we all went fer a walk to the park to have some different fun, and there was this couple humping or something in the Gazebo. Gnar :?
So what happens 10 minutes later? Well I will tell you. This guy walking his 2 dogs was like 15 feet away from us when one mounted the other and started hammering away as if to say, yeah I'm totally proud of doggy style form. Need a lesson?

How long have you been playing, Chad? Someone said a month-ish?
Wow.
Blenders are sooo fun. I had to stop because of my knees, though, so watch out. For my knees, my doctor told me to pop ibuprofen to bring down the swelling, like, daily, so I do that any time I feel rawness from shred, or even pre-shred... or any time, because rawness in my knees is more likely than not due to shred one way or another. I totally feel you, though, I can never solo session any more (something I really enjoy), because my guys shred biweekly, and my legs don't heal up fast enough to throw in a session in between.

Really cool story about the smiling old man :)

So last night at 905 SHRED we made a new friend. A much needed on my part. (I've been getting ripped off for almost a yr by my 2 visually-impared dealers :? ). Guy knows his stuff is all I gotta say  .

Now onto shred, I HIT RIPWALK. 8O 8O 8O :D :D :D
It was super clean too.
Dan hit it before me, but we hit the friggin thing on the same night.

I love footbag 8)

So I had a great weekend back home in Skudsbury.

First off I FINALLY met up with the guy who originally introduced me to footbag :D !!!! He's a good buddy of mine, but I hadn't seen him since last Septembre, wow, I hadn't noticed how long it had been :?
So he was super stoked to see how far I'd come. We didn't get a chance to play, but I know that we shall kick again soon.

I also met Mathieu Latulippe, whom I had tried to contact a while ago about shredding when I was in town, and he showed up to the party I was at out of nowhere :D . AND HE PLAYS GUITAR!!!!

I can't wait to double shred with him again (to clarify I don't shred in the traditional weeeeedeleee weeeeedeleeeeee woo woo woo waaaaaaaa medemedemedemede WHAAAAAAAAMMY BAR!!! , I fingerstyle shred  )

Whoally crum I haven't been in here in awhile  .

My shred highlights aren't that great. Just working on consistency. Also fixing my flip clipper thanks to advice from David Clavens, whom I met at Cornell 2, which was the bum diggity :D .

Here's a neat story from that time. I got Tom and Peng to drop me off at Union Station in Toronto the night we came back from Ithica. We checked the website and it was all good to go, so I got my ticket for Union to Barrie with a stop off in Newmarket. So when I got to the Newmarket Station, I asked the driver what platform I needed to wait at to catch the Barrie bus, and he said there weren't any 8O And then he called dispatch, who said I needed to learn how to read the schedules, but my ticket said Union to Barrie. Even the driver was confused :? So anyway, the driver turned out to be the shitznitz and gave me a ride, thumbs up buddy. I told him all about footbag and I think he's gonna get his kids into it. Schveety feet 8)

This past weekend I had a really uplifting experience. My best friend and I had a little falling out, and I hadn't talked to him since before new years. I finally got up the balls to call him, and it was the best thing ever. A huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. I have my brother back :D :D I love that kid. We were guitar buddies too, I can't write with anyone else. So we are back together and it shall be monumental. I will post some recorded music soon mon freres  . Oh yeah, I also got him into footbag. Yeay-hooo-weehoo.

So the original reason I came in here was to say that I hit my first ducking clipper, nice and clean. I was stoked :D 8) . Oh yeah, I've also been able to somewhat consistently hit Neo>Butterfly, Neo>Mirrage, Hopover Swirl for the past week. Yeah. And I think I'm figuring out Osis. They aren't rolling off as much anymore. They still need work though

What's awesome is that when you get back to Mississauga (you said you were coming back eventually right?) my schooling will probably have slowed down and we can be crucial shred buddies. Sick.
