Video Editing... what to use?

Was wondering what people use for video editing that is not too complicated for somebody that has never edited a single video in his life.. I see alot of people putting cool stuff in their videos.. slow motion.. music that is sync to the beat of the footbag player.

All help appreciated!

Starting out with Windows Movie Maker or iMovie (If you are a Mac user) is not a bad idea..

Soon you will probably want to try something better like Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere..

Suggesting Premiere to a self-admitted complete video n00b would be like telling a 3 year old to drive an SUV. Or something.
Go with Movie Maker to learn the general idea of things.

I have never used Windows Movie Maker. I think jumping right into an actual good editing problem isn't that bad. I use(d, fucking Canadians stole my camera and ended my filming career!) Sony Vegas, but you can do almost anything with any program, they are all good. WMM sucks ass and I never liked it.

i just switched to afterfx cs3.. its way harder but.. did some cool things already that ive never done before

yes i did get a virus Wu_

it was like PtBot.Exterm

it came up as high risk on norton so i deleted everything. took me 3 hours to download the shit too.
