Speaking of summer progress...My hubby (the great HXC, himself ;)) has been showing me some tips lately, and really trying to help me get something other than toe stalls down. It's really frustrating because I'm so weak at this sport for many reasons, so my motivation is pretty low... Anyway, I carry a 'Mr. Sandbag' in my purse all the time, just in case the mood strikes me (since I usually wear my 'Roddies' to work, anyway :D)--as you might imagine, though, it doesn't come out of the purse very often :(.
Well, today I came home around noon, and I thought...why not try a clipper? I was wearing my 'Vans', yet it seemed as though my form was actually pretty good... so I tried it for about ten more minutes before I finally gave up and put on my "real" shoes . Sure enough, after getting the feel for it again, I started getting really close to stalling it...and I even tried it on my weaker side, since I was getting a little sore (plus, I want to learn it on both sides anyway :D). Then all of a sudden, I started getting sooo close, but it was still more of a slight kick... or a stall off of my heel . Finally, I got about three clippers...but I just couldn't seal it, because they were slightly out of control...
BUT...after ten to fifteen minutes of practicing...I managed to pull off three--yes, THREE, clippers--sealed!! Two of them I had to reach down just a little...and my last one I only had to reach forward just an eansy bit--but that suuure is better than feeling it stall so well on my foot, then flying out two feet ...
YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY...I'm officially the first girl to get a clipper in Michigan (well, probably not...but it's fun to think so :D). I hope I made my hubby proud today  (...now I just gotta get that darn opposite side...and pray my legs don't kill me tonight at work )

Matt, I like you so don't take this the wrong way. You should be a little less critical of people's games. One thing I noticed from your comments while we shredded at Worlds.

Props on the clippers Luchi
