by setting it knee high......... and then doing an eggbeater

I tend to aim right between the knees and waist, and I agree with what Jeremy and Ben said about the legover part of this trick, I don't focus on the illusion dex either

my eggs have always been inconsistant, even though i can hit bedwetter, spinning pdx egg, and pig fairly regularly.

but i think i focus on the illusion dent too much, so im going to try to focus on the legover and see how it goes.

thanks for the tip

why hasnt gray posted in here yet? i want some tips from the master

eggbeater is an easy move if you have sufficient time to complete both dexes. Time shoud be saved as early as possible in the move, particularly in the quick setting of the bag and the return of the setting leg to the ground to push off for the jump.

I find this to be the key for eggebaters. Choose the set height that works for your body, and then practice setting there while consistently allowing your set foot to return to the ground as quickly as possible. This will help.

Yeah, the key to egg/dlo/drifter/torque lies in planting the set foot on the floor as fast as possible so you can push off of it. Egg is a little harder than the other tricks in that you have to be careful about not "the"-ing the first dex, but otherwise its mostly the same.

And for the record, nobody has a body type like Nathan.

I Just hit this move on one side today and I'm not sure if it is an actual eggbeater, beacause it is not all down time. I start the dex before the bag peaks on the illusion part. Then I do a legover out of that. It's is definately not downtime. My set is just abouve the knee. I don't understand why eggbeater has to be all downtime. Why can't you dext at the peak time. Unless your ducking and diving out of it. Which I'm not sure if I've seen, please correct me.

People can definitely hit eggbeaters out of ducks etc.

I think eggbeater definitely can be peak time, in fact I'd say that if you're learning the move, the best thing is to hit it with the bag as high as possible, and the same goes for all new dex moves. As you can better, you'll find it easier to do faster and more downtime.

However don't get confused with hitting moves crispy style, which is really completely different. I don't think drilling atomic legovers will help eggbeaters very much (although it may a little, I don't know).

There are some great tips on these in the other eggbeater topic, which is a couple of topics down.

I guess the big theme is as I said in this topic, really focus on that second dex.
