yay!

Post by Luchi1135 »

There's me... I look so silly :?
Don't worry... I have a pair of 'Rod Lavers', I just happened to be wearing my 'Vans' (didn't think that I'd be footbagging at church ;)--plus I'm really sore!)... but since I finally started hitting clippers just the other day (see HXC's footblog, pg. 13), I'd say I was doing pretty good in pants and the "wrong" shoes :D
Welps...I guess that's all I have to say for now--just a big thanks to my hubby for the support and tips... and to Dylan Fry for encouraging me at Worlds when he talked to me on the phone 8O :D 8)

Good job on hitting both clippers. :-) What time did you get off work?

Hey, Ben, I'm Paul's wife  Jealous? ;)
I got home from work probably around 8.30 AM, and I only practiced for a couple minutes to get both of those tricks :D Now I'm probably going to try hitting that legover again... :?

P.S.
We just got your two footbags, Ben! Great job again... those and FootFighters are my favorites :D (but I think I like yours better)...I wanted to see what they felt like, so I practiced without shoes and did a clipper

Sweet! Thanks for the love! Paul's reply to the "stud muffin" was "oh my goodness" hehe--don't I know it! ;)
And, yes, we're already enjoying them. He was practicing out in the rain with one before we left for eats tonight. Don't worry, he was in a dry place--wouldn't want to ruin a brand new footbag! ;) They will be put to good use :D

 I didn't practice yesterday... I know that it isn't much of an excuse (especially since some of you guys play for hours a day!), but I was really sore yesterday. On top of that, I spent a few hours reading mod-blogs (oo, that sounds kinda catchy, eh?).
Today, though, I got home from work early, and I decided that I would give my new TT a whirl...wait--not a literal whirl  that'd be cool! Anyway, I've decided that I can't wait until I get used to this--I can't believe how sore I get from this! No wonder footbaggers are so skinny  But, I figure, at least a couple minutes of practicing every day will keep me used to it, and ready to do more, later! ...If I stopped for a week, I'd be this sore next week, when I'd be trying it all over again. A little footbag is better than none! ...Actually I like the littler footbags, anyway! Okay, I know that I'm being really cheesy today...
But, yes, down to business... as I was saying, I "practiced" again, and managed to get a couple of clippers again :D I even got another clipper to toe--and this time, it managed to come up really high! That excited me, since I was thinking about trying ducking...I just couldn't manage to set the footbag high enough before--I usually just stood there going " 8O OMG I JUST GOT A CLIPPER!" Slooowly but surely I'm making progress...

not doing anything new, but I'm making more contact with the footbag...it's nice to see it actually land/stall on my foot, instead of flying through the living room...I'm getting better on my left side too :)

Well, I know that it's been a while since I've posted anything...I haven't been practicing too much, and when I have, I haven't hit anything new...but I'm still progressing with each practice--as I said last time, I'm making more contact with the footbag, and my form is getting a little better (including my flipside :) ).
Anyway, I'm getting ready to take the train for "home" tomorrow... going to Illinois to visit my family before my cousin gets shipped out to Japan  ... I'm wearin' my 'roddies' on the way there, though, to keep me from getting too bored (sadly my layover in Chicago is only going to be about an hour instead of five ;) ). I'm sure that I'm not going to get a whole lot of practicing in... but the weather's going to be about twenty degrees warmer than it is here (and sunny!), so it'll be perfect if I want to :D ...and my parents have a nice, big garage.
I'm rambling... but who cares! This is probably one of the only places that I can ramble without eh... annoying someone? If I ramble too much, someone can just stop reading and go to the next footblog .
But, yes, I'm going to go finish packing as much as I can before I head to work and actually leave tomorrow...who knows when I'll sleep! I'll be up for near twenty-four hours by the time I actually go to sleep tomorrow... 8O
Pieces!

Where are you going in IL? I'm from Waukegan which is about an hour North of Chicago and an hour South of Milwaukee WI. Have fun on your trip and enjoy the weather. :-)

Well, I'm taking the bus from here to Chicago, but I won't be there long--I'm supposed to arrive there around 3.40 (but you know how that goes with buses and trains... might be shorter... might be longer... but probably the latter)--then take the train around 5.30 to St. Louis. From there, my parents will pick me up and take me to their place in Shiloh--which is about thirty minutes from there... that is where I'm going! :D Now, on the way back I might have a longer layover...but I'm not sure what the details are on that right now, and I'm too lazy to go look
No need to fear! I'm going to update my blog as much as possible from my dad's computer while I'm gone... maybe y'all'll get to hear some crazy story about my travels! (and, man...that sounded "suthun")
