search for proxies on google.
you can also try using google's language tools ... and translate www.modified.in from like spanish to english ... some words end up getting messed up sometimes, but at least you are on the forum

Go into command prompt.

Type 'ping www.modified.in'

It will give you an IP address (such as 993.423.23.234, or something like that).

Shove that thing in your browser and lay smackdown on the enter key.

I can get on modified. But there's loads of crap you can't get on that you should be able to get on with our school district's messed up blockers. I hate you sonicwall.

I've heard of proxies, but I don't know where you'd find one, so I haven't bothered with it. But over half the sites that would be REALLY useful for school projects are fucking blocked because our tech are generally narrow minded and block anything and everything that doesn't have to do with ONLY education... Which you really can't do anymore because classes are calling for projects about things that you can't look up on the computer with these stupid blockers.

Oh, and the command prompt is taken off of student computer logins.

Same when I was in school, usually you can create a new shortcut and put in "command", but it's very limited. You could also do a reverse lookup online to get the IP number of any site and put that in like mentioned previously. Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't.

As with proxies, I doubt you could access them. At least at my school, they blocked proxy sites (wonder why  ) or if you find one that works, it will be blocked by the end of the week because decent filter software will find out what methods you are using to get outside of it and patch them up.

I loved trying to fuck with my school's server when I was in school. Good luck, you will find a way if you keep at it.

Try proxyninja.com. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Just a side note, I got my school banned from editing wikipedia pages (that's over 100 computers).

Last year one of my friends brought Firefox to school on a USB key. We were able to access all the sites that were blocked on Internet Explorer with Firefox

My school blocked all proxy sites, and plus if you find one that still works and use it you get like a 10 day suspention or something. So watch out for that. Fortunately, modified isn't blocked for me, but pretty much everything non-school-related is, which is bullshit. Especially in classes where you're on the computer and there isn't really anything to do for the rest of class.

FireFox kicks ass. However it doesn't get past our school's firewall. But we're allowed to download it.

LimeWire was recently blocked this year, but I fixed that. Brought it in with my iPod and put it on the school's public files so anyone can access it. Also brought in Adobe Photoshop 7.0 because these damn photo editing programs our computers have are absolute crap. And I use Adobe PS quite a lot this year.

The best part is, everyone uses LimeWire in the school now, and when you open up iTunes, it lists everyone's LimeWire downloads on the left side, because all of the computers are connected. So yeah, you can always see what other people are downloading, and then listen to what they have on their lists. I love you iTunes and LimeWire.

You can get anything on school computers using a transfer device such as a USB Flash Drive, iPod, portable hard drive, etc. Brought the old school Diablo II to school on my iPod, and I downloaded a D2 loader program with it (So I don't need the disc), and I didn't even have to install the game. Just transfered the Diablo II folder to my personal school file, and I was able to play on thursdays and fridays. (I have two classes with an extreme amount of downtime with nothing to do.)

Where did you download the D2 loader from?

lol, why? Do you play D2? I had a friend from my D2 friends list e-mail me the loader a while back. But I don't have it anymore, because I didn't bother to back it up to my iPod when I kill-disk'd my comp a few weeks ago. I don't play enough anymore to have cared to keep it, and I definitely don't play at school anymore.

But I'm sure you can get them off of LimeWire, though I would scan them for key loader programs and trojans before using them. If you're one to value your items.

It's been a while since I've been in the loop of 3rd party game programs and hacks. Hell, I don't even use a maphack anymore. Wish I had one...

But, why you need one? I might be able to find one for you if needed.

Here's a shitload of proxy sites:

http://www.larsonsworld.com/misc/circumventor.html

If you can't get to that site from school, write down a few from the list and see if they work.
