Anyone hear about Guitar Hero 80's Edition?

Can't wait for down loadable content for GHII for the 360.

I just came across PC Guitar Hero Clone.

You can go to freetar.net and download a bunch of songs that people made. Better yet, you can make your own game up with any song that you want with the freetar editor. I think it's just as fun as using the guitar, just a little different.

I personally hate the game, but for two reasons only.
1- i have aweful tendinitis so ripping on that thing makes my arms go numb in a matter of minutes.
2- the songs aren't performed by the original artists, rigth?
They should make like, "Guitar Hero:Radio Edition", and it just tunes into whatever radio station you're listening to, transposes the music INSTANTLY.... my gosh the 360 is fast, non?

, and then you gotta play it. So like if you're listening to some good ol' Bluegrass, that's the game on expert!!

And this game is WAY harder than playing a real guitar. I fully admit to suckin it up hardcore.

On Guitar Hero II, I need two of the bonus songs in order to 4* Hard mode (I have up to the 5th set list 5* and many Bonus songs), which are Six and Fall of Pangea.

I 5* Jordan on Hard mode. Nothing compared to Expert, but still a good achievement.

I got 119,348 on Trogdor on Hard. I missed <10 notes, if I can nail the first part of the solo I can get like 125K.

Guitar hero is already available for the PC & Mac. It's called frets on fire, and there is over a 1000 songs available to play on all difficulty levels, including all the original GH1-2 and even GH3 songs and tons more. Plus, it's free. I would go out to say it's better than guitar hero.

I hated FoF.

All of the note charts I played were awfully put together.

That sucks. Most (I would say 90%, there's some shit ones out there) are dead on and the actual GH songs are straight copies of the original note charts. Some day I'll buy a guitar and an adapter so I can play for real, keyboard is tough.

i started playing a lot of GH 2 again.

i've got every song on hard 5 star'd except for a couple of the bonus ones: Six, and Fall of Pangea.

I got a new note-percentage record on Jordan on Hard, now. 98%

A friend brought over GH2 the other day and we jammed. I'm 1000 times better with frets on fire

even when playing on the same charts. I noticed that I needed to slow down about a quarter-step to transfer the skills over from FoF to GH2. It's weird.

I'm blowing through Expert right now, just have Institutionalized and Hangar 18 left, and then Freebird.

What do you think of Guitar hero 3? I think it is better than the last few but I hate how they sold out...
