I totally love this song!
I thought it was really sweet when Ben Roscoe and then Chad Landry played footbag songs by the campfire.
I think it was at some point Saturday when I had the thought to myself.. "everything in my life is perfect right now!"
Thanks so much to everyone that made it out. I think the eclectic mix of people really made for a fun environment where everyone knew some of the people but not all.
Let's do more Camp Wakahakees!
Oooh! I think if another is done it should be Camp Wakahakee 2, and they will all go up from there.

Camp Wakahakee was wakawicked! I honestly have not one complaint! The only thing I didn’t like was leaving.
I hate saying goodbye after jams, I am filled with such sad emptiness, it’s disconcerting.
But I had so much fun! I had wanted to do the footbag camping thing for years now, and it worked out perfectly. I think I like camping when it’s a bit chilly. I’d LOVE to do it again!
I took a few photos, I’ll put them up soon.
I almost never do a write up after a tournie, which I always really really regret. Usually I don’t because there is just too much to write. But I’m doing it this time anyway, either enjoy it or be annoyed. A lot happened and I have a lot of people to thank, so it’s long… bite me.
………
I arrived kinda late Friday night, and there were a shitload of people I didn’t know around the campfire. This was kinda weird for me because even at tournies where I don’t personally know people, I at least know OF them. But now, there is this whole slew of new shredders, particularly in Ontario. So there were many new faces illuminated by firelight. It was sweet. People were playing music and singing, but it was a pretty quiet night. I got to know Tom’s sister Anne, and she is so fucking cool! It was nice to bond with girls this trip, because in the past I have had like, zero girlfriends, and with footbag there is never even an opportunity to make any. But Anne was awesome; she is such a cool, sweet, funny, and smart girl. I’m happy she came. We were the last to go to bed, which turned out to be the case both nights.
The next day Tom & Peng were making a fuckin feast on the fire, and Anne was making toast on a skewer. I thought it was brilliantly hilarious and delicious. We headed to the shred spot first, and met up with shredders who were already waiting; Josh from Hamilton (who is wicked btw) and Johnny & Jarrett! I was so happy to see Jarrett, it’s been ages! It’s great that he’s back on his feet, and actually using them in the most valuable way ever!
Oh, also when we got there, Mike and I took our longboards out of the car hoping to find a nice trail to ride on. I’ve been boarding for a while and Mike is really into it now too! When Pat Thomsen saw our boards, he pulled his out of the trunk and a big fat smile was slapped onto my face! How awesome.
Anyway, it was a freezing day and I was sucking at footbag, but I had fun anyway. I didn’t compete because I don’t have fun competing and I just wanted this to be a carefree, fun weekend. And it was!
Jon Haber arrived, and I was elated, especially because I was told that he was not coming. And he happened to be wearing the same shirt as me: Footbag Ontario, which was funny because those shirts are so rare and we hardly ever wear them. I believe only 5 of us have them: Me, Jon, Tom, Johnny, and Adam Dexter, who designed them. Actually, he might not even have one. Haha. They are from back in the day when Ontario’s shred scene was just budding and we had our own forum and everything. Jon’s shirt said “Mosherâ€
