A Good General Policy

Post by Bringerofpie »

If you're in the mall and you see someone wearing Lavers or Quantums or a freedomfootbags hoodie, a planetfootbag t-shirt, etc. maybe go up and say hi.

People like me don't really have anyone to kick with, but there may very well be people nearby who I just don't know. Doing stuff like that could help spread the community.

Thank you for reading my poorly constructed request.

Peace

Hey Joe another way of finding footbaggers near you would be to put your town, state, country in your profile.

..not to pick on you or anything.. :D

You can search for everybody who has ever registered remotely in your area. (I would advise reading profiles before you give them a call/email - or at least looking at the "date last logged in".

I think a good general policy is to never touch the student you are teaching.

Sage advice.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

Lol, I would be absolutely stoked to see anyone wearing modded lavers (I've also approached people wearing unmodded ones just to make sure). You'd have to chain me down to prevent me from talking to that person.

I can't even imagine just walking past that person as if they are just anyone else.

Yah. It'd be a struggle not to just run up and hug someone who was obviously wearing shred shoes. All slow-motion and shit too. Might even slip em a little tongue if they seemed into it.

I'll be sure to have the camera going when you arrive at NYJ, Colin.

Tongue? Wow, I'd wipe my ass for that!

Seriously though, some guy on a bmx rode up to Tom and Nathan while they were shredding today and asked them about where to find the colored lavers. I naturally assumed the guy was a footbagger. Imagine my surprise to find out he was just in to old tennis shoes :? Rod Lavers for tennis? What the hell :?:

I tried playing tennis in them, and they were garbage. I'm much better in my New Balance.

I keep forgetting to mention: 2 months ago I saw a guy wearing Lavers at the movies (out in the lobby). He was standing in a circle with 5 of his friends talking. I asked him about his shoes, and he seemed all hesitant, and I was like, "you do play footbag?" He said yes. Weird, maybe we'll see him some day.

<- Wow I just accidentally typed that. I think they're dice.

K, so generally, yes go up to people, but they should find u if they go out of their way to find lavers they should have found the club list on .org.
