iPods
Does anyone else listen to an ipod while they are shredding? I never did, but last week I bought an iPod shuffle, bc thye are so insanley small, and had a built in clip. I clip it on my collar, and I dont even know its there, and I run the headphones behind my neck, so they arent in the way. I focus so much better when I am wearing these. Also without them my sessions tend to be BORING because I have no one to play with.

Sometimes after an hour of frustrated practice I take out my earbuds and listen to the bag, and my feet landing. These sounds helps me get my timing - especially for clippers. Jorden once told me that the sound of the bag hitting my foot and the sound of my support leg touching the ground (magic hop) should happen at the exact same time.
Good music is great for getting pumped up and making solo sessions fun though!

I have an iPod shuffle as well. Bought it for shredding. I clip it to my waist band and bring the headphone wires up through my shirt and tuck in teh excess cord in my waist or in my collar. The shuffle is weightless and the wires never get in the way.
But as Buck said, I get frustrated and take them off to hear the bag and stare at my legs when they wont work. It helps me to get refocused when I take them off. But I have had a few sessions with my Altec Lansing iPod speakers that run on 4 AA or adapter. Great sound.
