This topic should be in the kicking circle not the discussion topic.

I would go with Asian or a kebab.

I read something from Allan Haggett the other day that said that McDonalds cheeseburgers are made from 50% corn products, chicken nuggets are about the same, milkshakes are 70 something % corn products and McDonalds coke is made completely from corn products (presumably and water).

I think this only applies to the US and I'm fairly sure it doesn't apply to Australia (because McDonalds advertise how their products are entirely Australian, and we don't have the huge corn glut that the US has.)

yeah, sry ...didnt notice that i was in discussion forum until i submitted it.

How can Mcdonalds in US be so much different than the ones in other countries? I thought that was the whole idea of a chain restaurant.. everywhere you go it tastes the same so you never have to miss your favourite food. Of course it is not true that the quality of the food is the same everywhere and different countries/cultures have different tastes so the recipes usually vary a bit.
Why would they change the fact that they use corn products to make there foods from? And does it really make that much difference if a carbohydrate is extracted from lets say ..a potato?

Heck ya... Burger King > McDonalds!

McDonalds has nasty hamburgers and their milkshakes look lik just milk with food coloring.

Now Burger King has soooooooo good hamburgers and their milkshakes tastes soooooo good but they are real thick but still good.

You would.

Definitely. Though I would've gone to Sonic or A&W if it were me. Because even if the food ends up being crap, at least you can wash it down with the best drinks ever.

And Chinese food is horrible. Bleh, bleh.

Pretty tough predicament you are in, especially when 30,000 people die of starvation every day.

There's nothing wrong with fast food. It's a great idea, that is perfectly healthy. There's something wrong with fast food customers. It's not McDonald's fault that America's so fat. It's America's fault for not watching what they eat.

I love fast food. I know very few people who don't love fast food. But unlike most Americans, I also know how to make healthier food at home, and am not too lazy to do it.

BK burgers >>> McD's, but I sure would kill for some McD's fries with ranch right now.

50% of the burger being corn? Though I s'pose they're jipping you, I don't care if it's healthier. Corn is a vegetable. Of course there must be a catch. It's like corn anus or something.

hahaha it is too.

Yeah I really have to be in the mood to eat maccas. From what I can gather australian maccas differs a lot from the american version. you're meal sizes are freaking huge compared to ours. we have mcoz burgers, I'm presuming you don't have those, but you should, they're the best burger there. do you have like, a whole salad menu in US?

they just brought out a burger here called the backyard burger. what a ridiculous name. sounds like a porno.

Yeah I rarely eat fast food; unless you count the sushi I eat for lunch. It is disgusting and not "healthy" at all. It is hilarious that Fred thinks that it is healthy though.

The problem with corn is the same problem with eating too much of any single food item, it does not have everything your body needs, and it creates a greater likelihood of adverse reactions to that food. Allergies to corn are rising dramatically, especially in the US and it is hard to think of any reason other than because American processed food is full of corn.
