My "Halo mood" kind of drops when ever I play a level with the flood in it, on any Halo game. I prefer the Human vs Covenant feel of Halo, rather than the Human vs Covenant, yet everything against Flood feel... But as a story, it's great stuff.

I'm only to the part where they come in and drop off 4 tanks for you. (That part is so fuckin' cool btw.) Haven't been able to play as much as I would like to, ha ha.

Oh, but I've been messing around with the "Forge" option, and god damn that thing is so cool. Love making new game types and editing the game's layout of items, weapons, and vehicles and what not. Great feature. And being the monitor for editing was a great idea. Gotta love Bungie.

Anyone else get the feeling that Valhalla is just simply a much better version of "Blood Glutch" and "Coagulation?"

It's in a semi-enclosed canyon, two similar bases on either side, big enough for all vehicles (minus the Elephant), has a new way of teleporting people (man-cannons instead of teleporters)... I really like it for Flag and Assault games. And it's not too bad for "Rocket Race" either.

I made a funky version of CTF where I have a bunch of explosive containers spawning about 15-20 feet above where the flag pole is, so they drop and explode. So grabbing the flag is a little more challenging, because you can lose your shield, or even be blown to bits even if no one is defending the base. But I'm usually there with an AR and BR anyway, ready to fux ya up. :)

Anyone do any big LAN gatherings yet? Right out of the blue, some guys from a neighboring town we played Halo 2 with a couple times, about 30 miles away called us up and we ended up going to this rich girl's house and played 4v4v4v4 and 8v8 and free for all games last night. It was very intense stuff. But no one ever beats Albert Lea in these town Halo rivalries we have, lol. About twice a year, all the people that are like, really into Halo from all the towns in a 50 mile radius get together over a span of about 2 weeks and we duke it out. AL always wins. :D

Halo Trilogy FTW.

Yeah, we have a lot of churches around here that do that. Including the one that my family's part of. (Note, my family, not me, lol.) But yeah, our family's church, on sunday evenings, has a big ass projector screen inthe main lobby with a Wii hooked up to it. And they literally divide the gaming in two. Several GameCubes are down the east wing of the church, and X-Box (Halo's all anyone plays though) is down the west wing. And for kids who don't have parental permission to play M rated games are allowed to play the Wii's (There's one more in the Nintendo side) and GameCubes. And then there's usually rock climbing and other fun things to do in the gymnasium. Oh and they usually have 2-3 new release movies playing on projector screen in the the uhhh.. what's that place called where it has all the benches, and it's where the actual service is held.. w/e it's in that area. Very popular church. Haven't gone to that in a good 5 or 6 months though.

Yeh i was the same with Halo 2 (before our Xbox went walkabout  )The Flood are fairly annoying in their mindlessness, like at least when fighting the Covenant you feel some achievement or challenge, whereas the Flood are just cannon fodder...Although there are some cool moments when Flood jump across the room at you and you look up in time to fill them full of shotgun pellets

It's also great fun to watch your teammate all of a sudden get completely surrounded by Flood combat forms and then watch him get fuckin' mutilated. Oh that's so funny. Cause you can hear the melee attacks from the flood, even when you're 20 feet away, ha ha. It's just a sense of "smack down." Like your buddy just became bubba's bitch, lol. But then you both respawn because it's Legendary. Speaking of which...

Legendary doesn't seem so hard... Talking of Halo 3 of course. (Halo 1 and 2 Legendary are cake walks) They said it was gonna be like, crazy hard. Like the 3rd level was where they introduced what they liked to call, "Brutes effectively putting their feet in your ass." And I didn't really get that sense. Yeah, there were a couple parts where I was like, "wtf is this shit?" Like, why can't I get past this part, but it always just turns out to be i was either trying to get up some rock that leads to a path that leads to no where (Because the actual objective is in the other direction), or I had just stupidly cornered myself with 3 snipers in the back ground and a chieftain about to make me his new playmate, with his 3 buddies in the background to back him up...

Btw, I still haven't beat the game, ha ha. As excited as I've been for Halo 3, I've only got to the 6th or 7th level, mainly because I just have not had time to play, ha ha. Sucks... Oh well. In due time.

Ugh.. I don't like how they did GH3... I played it a few days ago, it feels completely different. I can rip it up on expert on GH 1, 2, and Encore, but I have the hardest time hitting the simplest of songs on GH3... And I've tried altering the lag option so many times and it just doesn't get it right like the other GH games.
