Talkfreestyle.com

Post by Iron Clad Ben »

It's a new multi-sport forum that is starting up. I got invited by the moderator, anyone else see this yet?

http://www.talkfreestyle.com

This forum was started by a UK freestyle-football player and he wants to make it a forum for all freestyle sports to interact. It sounds like a good idea, hopefully it will be a success.

Current sports: Breakdance, Football (soccer), Basketball/Streetball, Parkour/FR, Skateboarding, Graffiti, Rap/Beatbox, Snowboarding, Rollerblade/Inlinesk8, BMX, Martial Arts, Surfing, Footbag/Hacky, Frisbee/Flyingdisc, Motocross/FMX, Drifting, DJing

Anyway, go and sign up if you're interested. It might be a good opportunity to build a presence for footbag amongst the other "extreme/fringe/freestyle/whatever-you-want-to-call-it" sports.

TalkAdmin wrote:This is one of my projects i'm undergoing with and my ambition is to see freestyling sports get popular if not big time famous, cause these sports totally deserve to be popular. It's just a shame that not many people in the world know about such sports. So i believe this is one of the many ways that can improve the freestyling image.

many sports are well established e.g. bmx, rap, skateboard, breakdance etc etc, i've included them to use these sports as a "turbo charge" for the not so popular sports.

Hope that clears thing up for you Ben, Also if you can do me a favour, do you think it's possible you can recommend any friends of yours to join in on this forum? That would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Yeah, some things don't have to be sports to qualify as 'freestyle', like rapping, break dancing, graffiti, etc.

I think this has amazing potential. Through this, we may be able to get in on some freestyle combination events and really generate some exposure. For instance, graffiti and break dancing have been known to share events. Maybe we could tailgate some of the freestyle football events and vice-versa. Thanks for finding this Ben!

It might have ended in the "not wanted", "spam" or something like that folder..

Other than that I have no idea, I got mine after 2 seconds.

Yeah I joined up and got an instantaneous email, so you either didn't register correctly or you typed your email address out wrong (or you actually did get it, and you're going blind).

I think the place is probably going to fail at promoting footbag though; the forum is just too big, and it's hard to see anybody commenting, or even looking at topics that aren't about the sport they play.
