@ndrew`s footblog

Post by @ndrew »

Hello.
I decided to start my footblog, becouse I want to practice my english, and also see progress I`ll do in footbag.
I started playing in June 2005 and for 8 months I played alone. Becouse of it my style is bad. In February 2006 I joined Tomistyka F.C. and since then I play with them, but no often. After one year of shreding during doing barfly for the first try I injured my knee. It took over a yeat to recover well, but still it hurts. About month ago doctor said that I can play again.
Yesterday I got back from Polish Footbag Championships. Level was sooo high... Both Bujo brothers had Shred30 score over 230 points. Athmosfear was great.
I compited in Intermediate Freestyle and 4square(I played it for the first time). In 4sq I was in semifinals but I forgot to play :D
I`m very disapointed becouse in feestyle I was 7th in my poll and IMO I should be higher.
When I and my friend from Tomistyka were talking with Tomek Ostrowski about da da curve I hit symp miraging butterfly. I didn`t shred a lot.
My Biggest moves:
Parkwalk>Ripwalk
Sidewalk>Ripwalk
Phoenix>Tomahawk
Spinning Pdx Wihrl
Symposium Whirling Swirl
Phenix Rake
Maelstorm
C ya

For about one month I play only twice a week. I`m very mad about it. My flipside clipper isn`t getting better. Sometimes I can`t do even butter>butter. I started working on my flipside toe:
DATW Out, PLO x4, Magellan.
Couple tricks I hit recently:

I don`t know how it happened, but yesterday I hit Butterfly x24 and after that, again, I couldn`t do butterfly b2b <lol> A week ago I download Circle Contest from Worlds, Vasek is sooo great. I think that the run with Montage, Nemesis bsos was the best. I also like run with spinning 5 and 6 adders. It ends with double spinning pdx whirl.
I started playing t2t. I hit magellan>tap>datw.
On Friday I hit my first Symposium Whirl after my injury. I tried Symp Whirling Rake and Sidewalk>Symposium Whirl but I had both of them only footed :(
Finally, I hit muted pixie ss whirl.
Pozdro
PS. I am wondering if anyone read my footblog...

Last days (in footbag) was great for my. I started play on level I was playing before my injury. My flipside clipper is getting better. Now I can do butterflies and ducking clippers on it. Osis and stepping is still problem for me. My runs are longer and I`m hitting harder tricks.
I hit Tomahawk, first time since I hit Phoenix>Tomahawk in August. I also hit Spinning Pdx Whirl. 10 minutes later I hit my second 6adder- Maelstorm. I can`t belive it! I had an idea to hit 7adder. I tried Ducking PS Miraging Butterfly and I had it footed.
Some things I hit:
Ducking Clipper>Spinning Clipper>rpt
Butterfly>Whirl>rpt
PLO>Butterfly>Butterfly>Pdx Mirage>rpt
Assasin>Phoenix
Symposium Whirl x2
Smog
flip Paradon footed

Nice progress! Good that you drill some both sides. Drill basics to perfection, and then start to think about some big tricks. Keep it like this and your game will improve very fast.

Bad news. I messed up my knee again whilst I was playing football. I`am going to have another surgery.

It was great feeling.
I sucked, but whatever.
I hit rev swirl x3, rev swirl> rev swirling rake, osis>spinning clipper>far osis.
I can`t use my flipside clipper, becouse it hurts. I think with time I will be able to hit some basics on it.
Happy New Year:)

Hi everyone!
I didn't write here recently, becouse I had to study. In 100 days time I am having my final exams in highschool. In first week of January I had geography, english and polish testing exams. I think those exams went good. I scored: 65 % for geography, 80% for english and 60% for polish, all extended.
Now footbag:)
In the beginning of my footblog I wrote that I play in Tomistyka club. Well, after Polish Champions I didn't play with my friends for four months. It happend, becouse I live far away from a center. It takes me 30 minutes by car, one hour by bus and 90 minutes on my bicycle to get to the center. Although I have driver license my father don't borrow me car. Couple weeks ago I played with Rik and Wit.
Video:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=LxyzsDmxrD4
Alpine by Godi- Godi is founder of Tomistyka. He don't play any more and I have no idea why. Once he was trying to hit alpine nemesis and he bend to the floor. Rest of us had a lot of fun. So on that vid we were making parody of that.
Witu- beast of parties: Wit and I were on the same New Year's Eve party. He got drunk and fell asleep on the sink.

My knee is getting better faster than I expected. I hit my second barfly. First barfly coused my injury. I stared practing basic tricks which I wasn't hitting before- drifters and dlos:
pdx dlo
drifter>drifter
drifter>pdx mirage>dlo
eggbeater>dlo
dlo>smear

One time I practised atomic:
eggplant
tapping osis
dlo>tap

I feel progrese in my clippers:
osis>ripwalk
osis>reverse swirl
sidewalk bsos

Drills:
ducking clipper>ducking osis>rpt
ss symp mirage>butterfly>butterfly>rpt
plo>butterfly>butterfly>pdx mirage>rpt (second time)

Rest of what I hit:
spinning pickup
alpine merkon
backside blur
dod>ps mirage (I tried to record it, but I couldn't)
ducking butterfly>blizzard>dimwalk

Hello again modified!
I had a long break from footbag, there were a lot of reasons, hurting knee, lack of progress, I finished highschool, so free time became priceless... For past five years I only played once or twice a year, just to kick the bag or do some clippers. I put on some weight, I got bold :P, I found other interests, but I didn't forget about footbag. Recenty I decided to start playing again, just to be in good shape in general. I think that I would be writing here couple times per month, to keep myself playing. Haniabag is coming to me so keep your fingers crossed for me ;)

Haniabag arrived. When I unpacked it, I thought it was little too big, but after shreding today, I must say it's perfect. After breaking in, it would be sweet to play with it. I have been practicing flipiside pixi and clippers. Have been hitting about 20-30 clippers. Lack of condition makes it difficult for me to hit guiltless combos. I'm planning to create training plan to improve my form. Some highlightes from past week: ripwalk bsos, dimwalk to pdx whirl, flip dimwalk, plo x4, rev swirl to hand catch x8, magellan>plo>butter>pdx mirage>symp mirage>butter>dlo, osis x10.

I'm seeing myself progressing in footbag. I don't get tired so fast. My runs are more solid, tricks looks better. I think my training plan is good and it's gonna keep me progressing. After two shreds of using it, tricks that I'm practicing are cleaner and I hit them more than before. If I manage to lose 10-20 pounds, I am about to start developing really well.

Got shin splints, got g-units g6 mesh :D I've been modding them for the past three days, there are so many layers of fabric. I only played in them for about 30 minutes, so I need more time to get my opinion. First thoughts: they are bit heavier then Lavers, but my Lavers are little too small and G-Units are little to big. Weight difference is about 30 grams. In Lavers, I cut of toe-box and area around ankle- in G-Units I have less flat clipper surface and toe set is cleaner, due to toe-box. I have to break them in, but I have good feeling about them. They are stable, they have big clipper surface, soles and insoles seems to be better then laver's ones.
I'm continuing my training program, now I am focused about flipside pixie and toe in general- I have been practicing basis like pdx mirage and trying to get my flipside pixie straight. For like a month I've only been able to hit pixie legover, but I managed to learn dimwalk. Magellan and pixie ss clipper are my purpose for now. I think that learning this tricks will improve my runs length. My long-term purposes are guiltless runs, 15-30 contacts, with pixie, stepping, ducking and spinning for both sides. Tricks I want to train well are: double over downs, whirls, double legovers, torques. I hope that my injuries are over and I won't worry about my knees and back.
