GUM ON YOUR SHRED SHOE???!!??!

Post by Burrin »

Okay this is pissing my off and I need to tell it to the footbag community. Alright this has happened to me three times. And On NEW SHRED SHOES.

I got my second pair of lavers. Did all the mods freshout of the box and than took them to a show to break them in. STEP IN GUM THE SECOND I GET OUT OF THE CAR.

At Worlds when I got my Quantums I did it twice. Once after Daryl handed them to me. I put them on and walked around in them. Right next to the pool stepped in some gum. Cool huh? Than Again After I flew home early from worlds. Out of the airport Guess what I stepped in more gum.

Than TODAY I got some new Twill lavers to do uber modding on them this weekend. I went for a run in them to get the slippery powder paint stuff off them. Stepped in gum.

KNOW WHAT WORLD There is something called trash cans. Use them.

Any one else do this with shred shoes?

My guess is that in your more youthful days you cared less about where your gum landed and as such you piled up a bit of bad gum karma that you are now paying off.

Fortunately if you keep up with your good gum karma you should be problem free from here on. :)

hey, thanks for the sweet stickers.

I have not stepped in gum that many times in my whole life, and I'm pretty sure I'm a bit older than you. no good explanation for it. sorry, I'd hate it if my new kicks got blemished.

Is gum really a big deal?

It seems to come off pretty easily and it doesn't effect how you play really.

My lavers are the only shoes I have that have gum on them, which is odd because I run in New Balance and tend to walk around in Vans and flip-flops. Also, I usually kick inside. Maybe shred shoes are bad luck.

You should get some goo gone, it takes gum right off. It might be a good idea to just keep a bottle of it in your car.

Solution

I have gotten gum on my shoes many times, I just use canned air to get it off, you know, the stuff you use to blow out a dusty computer. When you hold it upside down cold ass liquid comes out and freezes anything solid. I just freeze the gum and wack the shoe on cement and it breaks off.

Cool solution without leaving nasty goo gone residue on your shoe!!

the goo gone and the air sound like good ideas.

another way is to freeze the shoe and pick it off when its hard and dry. if you dont want to freeze your shoes, then you can also put peanut butter on it then wash them by hand after youve let the peanut butter sit for a couple hours.

its good to walk into gums. imagine the smooth sole delays you can do! :)

no honestly, don't throw gums on the grounds. it's sooo annoying.. it's totally hard to rip the shit off your shoes. I don't know why I'm writing this message inhere.. probably it's because I know Burrin, the guy whose feet walked into these damn gums.

stay tuned

+1 to goo gone or stick shoe with gum on it in the freezer and pick it off with a tooth pick or something of the sort.

That's because you have duct tape on your Lavers. If it gets on the duct tape, you could replace it. If gum gets on any part of the shoe, you rip a piece of the tape off and remove that wad out easily. :?
I'm just joking. I know you have new shred shoes.

STOP MAKING FUN OF MY SHOES, ASSWIPE.

(also joking. :P)

EdIt: And putting the duct tape on was a pain in the ass. Way worse than taking gum off of your shoe.
