I think I've heard Zulu Warrior, too, but I think some tricks just shouldn't have names...

yeah i sort of feel the same. i think simple names that sound like the 2 or more tricks, like... pixie atomic set.. i called it a plutomic set, hence, the "p" for pixie and utomic for the atomic part.. i dunno maybe im just being silly

to avoid confusion of everyone making up names, we call that set "sailing". but you knew that already.

there is a current uptime sets list, and footbag nickname list in the general footbag section. the nicknames is a sticky, and the sets list was created by bigdirtyfoot, so search that to find more answers before you ask questions.

The concept of "zulu" originated with one trick: diving far butterfly, aka zulu butterfly, aka "zulu le loup." As with most ducking tricks from the 90s, this was an Eric Wulff special. "Le loup" is French for "the wolf," so this concept is actually indirectly named after Eric. Years later, he hit stepping in-mobius, which would be the second footbag trick named after him: Timberwulff.

Si. "Leaning" is the combination of a stepping set followed by an inspin. I believe that this term initially came from stepping inspinning mirage. If memory serves me (though really it was a bit before my time, so really what I mean is: if I heard this right...) stepping inspinning mirage was a trick of Tuan Vu's invention, which he named "Leaning Jowler", after the name of a particluarly rare and high-scoring outcome in the game often known as "Pass the Pigs", one of the dumbest games to ever have been extremely popular at footbag after-parties. Again, if memory serves, Leaning Osis (stepping inspinning osis) is also named for one possible outcome of that same dumb game. That trick was named "Makin' Bacon" for when the two pigs land touching one another, I think.

Freestyle Footbag = cool.
Pass the Pigs = stupid.
Freestyle Footbag tricks named after Pass the Pigs results = cool.

I don't know why.
