I say "I can't hit this move" but a more accurate statement would be that I've never tried (actually I did have 2 attempts at this move at my session with JP and Urano on Friday, and I probably could hit this move).
However I can hit other moves that are similar, I've been freestyle footbagging for over 6 years now, and I've learnt a bit about how to play the game. If I were going to try and learn pdx flurry those tips are what I'd try to do.
I've also spent a significant part of my time playing footbag playing with Lynton Stephens, who could hit toe flurry with relative ease. I've seen how he does it, I know how I hit similar moves, I'm confident that the approach I outlined would be the best way to go.
These days if I try to hit a new move, I always figure out what I should be doing before trying to do it, and usually i'm right about what I should do and I hit the new move without much trouble at all. For example my newest move is marius; and although I'd never hit it, I worked out what height I should be setting, what my footwork should be, how I should be approaching the torque and what each leg should be doing independently for the move. The tips I would have given before I hit the move were the same as what I'd give now.
Given that I can hit moves like blurrage mid string, given that I can hit flurry bsos and given that I have hit toe flurry, I'm confident that my tips for pdx flurry are accurate. Maybe somebody who can hit the move could give some more specific tips, if things like hip positions vary much from toe flurry, or moves that they have in mind when they hit pdx flurry (like for marius I try to think spyro osis and throw a mirage in because getting that osis foot back off the ground early is a key with this move for me).
Getting tips from somebody who thinks about how they would hit the move, can hit similar moves, and has fairly high level of skills is surely better than not getting any tips at all, especially when they're completely open about their abilities with the move in question.
BRICK!

Taken from the Quantum/Slapping Trick Tips threadjames_dean wrote:james_dean wrote:don't know much about quantum theory, but for slapping, it's really all in the wrist. It helps if you hold her hiney steady with one hand while the other does the work, some people like to switch it up but IMO that's just showey and ends up being messy half the time, better to just keep it simple.
A common mistake is to go too hard/fast, that's not pretty for anyone. You don't need to swing that hand back too far, she only wants a light tap right? Unless she's into that kinky sh!t and then it's all over before it's begun. Keeping it to about a 10cm swing works for me.
Playing Akon's 'Smack That' helps me keep a good rythym going too, and can really get you both into the swing of it.
Hope this helps.
Thought I'd post a pic to show proper form:
