Alright then, first solo session since...Sep 19?! No way. Wow.

Anywho, pretty much just worked pixies:
magellan>plo (rpt)
magellan>paste (rpt)
smear>plo (rpt)
smear>paste (rpt)
smudge>plo (rpt)
smudge>paste (rpt)
pixie ss pickup>plo (rpt0
pixie ss pickup>paste (rpt) (this literally took me about an hour to complete, I footed the 3rd contact sooo many times starting from every single trick, ugh, so tedious)
magellan>smear>smudge>pixie ss pickup>plo>magellan>drop

Then there was some other junk that I dont feel like posting cuz I think that list is boring enuff as it is..... also Im kinda flustered cuz red sox fans are dicks. :P Seriously, this Indians pitcher blows, its just run after run... Im not even watching I just hear the screams from all these red sox bastards everytime someone gets a hit, Blah!

Anyway, hopefully I'll play again tommorow, I really wanna get back to a somewhat decent level before the NYC jam.

Peace

A bunch o' good for nuthin, yellow bellied, floor flushin, beer guzzlin, riot havin cheaters!
Thats my sentiment regarding your precious red sox.

Anywho, the main reason Im postin is just cuz I was hanging out with a friend who used to play hacky sack but hasnt touched a hacky since 9th grade. Back in the day he had the basic kicks and could hit atw and outside stall on his strong side really well. So yeah, we're just chillin then hes like "yo let me see your hackysack" and so I give it to him and he kicks it, does an atw then hits a perfectly executed mirage! He goes "uhhh, what was that?" and Im just like 8O "WHAAAAA?!" and then he was just messin around a lil more and eventually hit atw>mirage>pixie>mirage>drop on pickup.... He managed mirage bsos and he just learned mirage today.... Its messed up. Like, he shouldnt be able to do that. It took me forever to hit mirage the correct way, let alone hit it bsos. It just blew my mind, and I felt compelled to post about it.

doubleyou tee eff, eh Doug? Does he want to actually get into footbag or is he just going to show you he's a prodigy and then say "pff" to the whole thing? What kind of shoes was he wearing? The fact he could hit pixie is just nuts. I mean that alone takes a bit of experience just to get used to the bag. Doesn't matter who you are.

Thanx Paul! I was kinda wonderin if anyone saw the video, haha.

Haha, nah he's not really into it, he just likes to mess around whenever we're just chillin or somethin. I wish he would get serious about it cuz he managed to hit that stuff in moccassins, (sp?) they're basicaly loafers. He was also wearin rolled up jeans. I can barely hit mirage bsos in rolled up jeans!

Anywho, onto todays solo ses. Pete wasnt there so I actually managed to drill some strings for once. :P So yea, Im finally startin to get back into the rythm of sumer shred when I was actually hitting drifter and whirl....

-whirl>infinty (rpt) 8 contacts (meh, thats appropraite for right now)
-ss butter>osis>pdx mirage (rpt) 12 contacts
-infintity x 10 (yikes! I need to drill infinities badly)
-whirl>drifter (rpt)
-whirl>osis (rpt)
-osis>whirl (rpt)
-osis>ducking clipper>drifter (rpt) 8 contacts (this one felt sooooo good)
-smoke
-frantic legover (post session, while still in shoes though)

Word. NYC in one week, I cant wait, but at the same time I need the time so I can get back at a somewhat decent level. Oh, and I didnt put this under the stuff I hit but I managed a nearly guiltles 12 or so contact string with a torque midstring in front of a bunch of kids on my floor. 8) Ha, yea I just love peeple's reactions to torque.

Huzzah! Motor! Both sides!..... I think, Im not too sure how clean they were, but it certianly is a fun feeling trick. Today was just a really sick session with Pete, Chris and me. Fran couldnt make it cuz apparently he dropped a steak knife on his foot...... Aw well. Twas a good session.

Chris is really starting to get the hang of pixie and legover, its good to see him stringing stuff together, hes gonna progress mad fast once he gets his foundation given his vast knowledge of footbag and whatnot.

Pete was playin okay today. He hit some really huge strings towrds the beginning of the session then startin droppin on easy stuff, er, well easy for him. He made up for it though by hitting a really long guiltless run at the end of the session, like 38 contact or something? Sick endurance.

I played pretty well. I was hitting a lot of drifters and whirls today. I had one string with smear, and whirl bsos. I wouldve had drifter in there as well, but I dropped on my second one. Im really starting to enjoy osis>ducking, it feels like Im actually playing footbag, ha.

So yea, good session, hopefully I can get a few more in before NYC so I can clean up my game a lil, I dont know if Im even gonna compete in anything. Aw well, its gonna be sooooo amazing.

Peace

So uh, yeah..... AMAZING TOURNEY! Mad props to Barret and everyone who helped organize it, it was extremely professional.

I dont even know where to start. Hmm, I suppose the beginning is fitting. So I met Pete at the Fung Wah bus station and turns out we missed the 3 o'clock bus. So what doe a footbagger do with a half hours worh of free time? Thats right, a footbagger plays footbag. So we're kickin and I accidentally hit som woman standing netx to us. Oops. Kick a lil more, hit her again. This time she moves back behind some other people to get out of harms way. Pete goes for atomic set smething, BAM the bag somehow maneuvers around the cluster of people and hits the same woman again!

Okay, so we get on the bus, bus takes forever, it rained, blah blah blah. Actually there was a rather funny sign on the door in the bathroom of the bus that read "Please help keep bus clean by peeing directly inside the toilet bowl. Thank you." Guess they had problems in the past. :?

We finally got to the frat house around.... hmm, I think it was like 10 or so? I cant remember exactly, but I know the bus ride took an hour longer than it shouldve. Anywho, we walk in and just toss our stuff off to the side, eat some pizza (between feeling ridiculous anxiety due to Petes outrageous impatience and not eating since noon, I was extremely hungary) and begin to shred. I think Pat was the first person I saw, which was cool cuz I played with him a lot over the summer and hadnt seen him in a while. Met some cool people and whatnot. Some girl was friends with the saxoponist from Stretlight Manifesto so that kinda freaked me out cuz, like, Streetlights my favorite band and shes all "Whats so amazing about him? Theyre not even that amazing of a band." Yeah... um, that statement faced a rather strong rebuttal, haha.

Footbag, right. Friday night was really chill, everyone else had already been there for a lil while and was taken it easy for the next days comp.... sorta. Dave, Jorden and Will (ooh name drops!) were in a circle of their own just breakin records, haha. Basically theyd name a trick and see who could do most of each trick. I think Dave may have even broken the superfly record with 13. 8O That was the basic idea of Friday night, really relaxed, casual world record breaking shred.

The next day was the tournament.... which I'll prolly make into a separate post cuz I just realized thhis ones kinda long and prolly a bit boring. Ha, Im so bad at summarizing things, I always just go on and on and on about little things that arent even all that important. Hopefully I remember to finish this one, cuz I actually have some really cool highights that I wanna talk about, trick-wise and shredding-with-peeple-wise, er, well, cool for me, haha.

Ok, in case I dont finish my write up later, heres my mian highlights of the jam:

-playing in a circle with Jorden and Sunil at the same time (this was the first time Sunil and Jordan ever played together too! :D )
-Sunil being an extremely chill, cool guy. He was so nice. Oh, and he hit a lil move called clownface.... ha, yeah, nuff said.
-Jordan gave me props before I even introduced myself to him... in fact I dont think I ever did introduce myself, I was too intimidated to go talk to him.
-hitting twirl and rev-up before Pat. :P
-being one of the last ones playing with Pat, Pete and Ian.
-witnessing the creatin of pendulous reverse ducking. (I left before he actually sealed it)

All in al the tournament was really sweet and it was great getting to see a bunch of people from GRASS again like Waylon Lew, Kyle (dont remember last name, sorry) and David Clavens. Oh, and I got to see Matt Cross again, always a pleasure.

So yeah, the main reason I wanted to post was cuz there was a sick BSC shred today with like, 8 people? 8O It was awesome, did some filimin which IM excited to edit. Anywho, didnt hit much durin the session, but ater everyone left, it was just Ian and me and I managed

-gyro clipper b2b
-spinning ducking clipper
-ripwalk x3

...and thats about it, I was just mostly stoked on the spinning ducking clipper. I really wanna try and emulate Ricky Morans style, just saw "The Sickness" he's got such nasty style, I love it.

 I've hit rev up before. Just haven't since. But yeah that twirl was viral. And props for the ripwalks and the spinning ducking. You weren't really spinning all that much at the jam!

are you free during thanksgiving? I'm going to see about shredding with Ben.

Haha, yea i figured you had, but i hit it first that night. :P
Um, Im gonna be home from Tuesday night until Sunday evening or something. Id love to have a session but idk if i'll have enuff time.... Although I do plan to shred w/ the rfa that Saturday... hint hint, nudge nudge.

Anywho, had a lil sesh with Ian. Was gonna film. Didnt. Played alright. I did a lot more stepping than usual. Almost managed blur and blizzard bsos but I dropped on the last blizzard. But yeah, main highlight was my final run, phoenix>run with ripwalk and drifter bsos. It was a good 15 or so contacts and only one or two guilts. So yeah, fun lil sesh.

Why didnt anyone tell me I was stepping wrong?!?!

Haha, yea so had a solo session tonight and finally realized why my steppin was so inconsistent and unreliable.... I wasnt doing it right, go figure  . So before my stepping was mad low mostly cuz I would try and use my setting foot to jummp off the ground simultaneously as the planted foot. Now I realize that Im supposed to just, like, hop with my planted leg up and over the bag. Man it made such a huge difference, I finally hit some stuff that Id been wanting to hit for a while. (Unfortantly I discovered this midway thru the session so hopefully this is just the beginning of stepping highlights)

-ripwalk>whirl>rpt :D (I always knew this was in reach but could never understand why it was so difficult....)
-butter>blur>rpt>butter>blizzard>rpt (got it 2nd try and dropped on last blizzard, oh ho, this will be complete by next session... i hope)
-"blurry" pickup bsos
-"blurry" osis bsos
-spinning clip>ducking clip>rpt :D (Kinda a dream sequence, its basic but its the root for really stylie looking runs)
-gyro clip>ducking clip>ducking clip>rpt (this. took. so. long.)
-ducking osis bsos
-pixie ss whirl bs
-pixie op whirl bsos

Really good session which I finished with gyro mirage bsos :D. I think it was mostly cuz it was one of those solo sessins where prior to playing I was like "Im really in the mood to play footbag AND feel like I can play" Ussually its just the first part while 2nd part is scarce. Ha, if that makes sense, idk, whatever.

So yeah, good session. Oh, and I almost had diving whirl, Id really like to hit that on camera for the christmas calender... despite how "the" it may be. :P
