Nope, but I go out to eat a lot and watch iron chef.
I used to eat fast food a couple of times a day, and since I was active I stayed thin. Turns out cholesterol still builds up, and blood pressure still increases. My doctor told me I should try to cut back on fast food, and that got me to start cooking at home.

I'm working with my lady friend towards opening an underground restaurant in March. The plan is to throw a fixed price, family style vegetarian dinner once a month, starting with people we know.snafu1322 wrote:Your stuff looks pro man. If you opened a restaurant i would eat there in a heart beat.
I'm hoping I can attract local artists to put works on display, and thus bill it as an "art show" with "free food". . . or some such thing to avoid the legal issues of running a restaurant.
I kinda want to see what people think of my food before I start looking at taking out loans to get a taco truck or take out restaurant.

I think electric ovens stink but ive been stuck with one for years. Tonight I had a huge porterhouse but I wast that hungry so I cut off the fillet mignon part and did my new techniqe. It totally goes against my grandmas advice. But you can totally cover the meat in kosher salt, leave it sit 20 mins to do it biz and then wash it off under water and dry the steak on towels. This draws out the water (not Juices) and breaks down the meat real so the steak is super tender. I tried this after a few crappy cuts from the supermarket and it works great. I topped it with some sauteed dry onion, red pepper, and garlic. With Twice fried french fries, and some sour cream and cheddar macaroni.
Fortunately I dont have those high blood pressure issues, havent had a cholesterol check though.
