tried filming earlier. the lighting and camera placement were horrible. I also played badly until the camera was put away

...but here's a trick, a link, and a trick (2 misses, 1 success?) -- footed the spinning version a few times as well

Crapley03 or 04 or something

Miraging Symp Torque? Like Merlin Osis? That's awesome.

I liked the first trick and then that link is awesome.

Your style is so clean. I wish I would have asked you for Whirl advice at Worlds.

Dude I remember that spot! That's the brewery/bar right? Great times. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to Missoula next April. Thanks for putting out a new Crapley video. The trucker chops are tight. I think I'm gonna have to pass on no-shave November, that would be a total CLM.

I haven't seen any posts from James here in a while. I hope he's doing allright.

Ben: That's not the same spot, but it's in the same neighborhood. It's the community free cycles shop across the street from our new house.

Played for an hour today. It was on carpet at our MFA session. I like carpet and cement much better than our living room. It's super slippery but it's forcing better control at the same time. a love/hate relationship.

Took awhile to warm up and felt controlled later. kept footing gangster party but not hitting it so I thought "what the hell, I'll just try it from barfly" and hit it :o

-quintiple bsos blender w/ lots of bops between
-far symple swirl>void :)
-gyro whirl>blurrier>string
-both halves of rubberman w/ illusions
-blurry whirl>blurrier>blurry whirl>string
-barfly>gangsta party

whoa never seen a miraging symp torque before, that's awesome! They should call that move merlorque. I was trying miraging symple pickup the other day. It seems like it would be easier than a merlin, but it was harder at least for me.

I've tried that move probably a couple hundred times over the last few years and have never hit it.

I rarely try stepping out of osis but it seems doable.

I'm gonna try making a vid again this weekend. the last four times i've tried, i've played like crap. Hit a few big tricks, but crappy overall. hopefully that will change this weekend.

edit: contrary to my previous beliefs, I might be able to graduate this year  I'm failing my first class ever and it all depends on if I pass it or not because it's only offered in the Fall. Seriously contemplating moving to Portland, OR after graduation depending on if it's this year or not.

edit2: forgot about spinning whirl>gyro dlo>string from last nights short session. Also been doing lots of spinning ducking xbdy rakes. That trick is super fun. I feel like I can only rake out of ducks and inconsistently.

just got done with a session. hit a couple flip furious sets. It's pretty one-sided for me. it goes to my strong double over down so I tried nemesis a few times and hit it. My first 4 dex :o it was clean but the double over down finished with my butt a foot or less from the ground

string length has drastically gone down over the last month and I've been getting extremely frustrated by it. I feel that was my strong point and now it's gone. I'm turning into a player that doesn't do strings but links and big tricks and I don't like that at all.

tried some surging as well

-spinning symple swirl>spinning osis bs
-pixie opp symple swirl *new trick*
-eggbeater x 12 one side, x 7 flip
-whirling ss ddd (felt like the fastest my feet have ever moved) *new trick*
-gyro blurry whirl *new trick*
-nemesis *new trick*

Thanks James!

Been hanging out with this girl the last few nights. She's a 24 yr old chemistry grad student that is studying proteins in cancer cells to try and offset cancer in a laboratory. was nationally ranked in tennis. consistently travels the World. and is intelligent as all hell. I keep wondering what the hell she's doing with me :o

Stop wondering and just enjoy it man! Any girl would be lucky to hang out with a unique guy like you.

I was trading Montana stories with a chick at a halloween party last night. She had just been, Missoula and some other places. Really made me want to come back.

Sporp on nemesis man that's wild. I hit a bunch of gyro clippers the other day. I dedicate them to you. I've started over from scratch with clippers and I'm skooling gyro and spinning clippers before I do butterflies. It's heaps of fun.

Randall: That'll hopefully change this weekend. assuming hangovers don't change plans.

Ben: I guess it's kind of like self-doubt knocking at my door, and I'm trying my hardest not to let it in.

My Supervisor is in a crazy situation. He was expecting a care package with underwear and fruit and stuff. He signed for the package but somehow his name was placed on the wrong package. He opened it, and inside lay computer parts for an F-14 Fighter Jet. He's worried that homeland security will be knocking at his door and he'll end up in Guantanamo Bay

I haven't posted on modified in quite some time. It's probably because I'm not as enthusiastic about footbag as I used to be. The thing is that I gave up pot smoking for a while as well as weekday drinking. Marijuana and footbag used to go hand in hand for me. I tried to kick with the MFA last Thursday but I wasn't high, so I couldn't get into it. I've had a couple of sessions since my last post and I've hit some cool shit.

-8 contact unique tripless
-symposium whirling swirl
-flip swirl

that's about it. Jere has been pushing me to hit more flipside moves. It's always been redundant, and I used to let it get under my skin. Now I think I'm ready to get my flipside on, and take a break from strong side. It's frusterating, but I have to do it sometime.

I realized last week that I have an addictive personality (yay for the Irish in me!) and that I can't let it get in the way. I drink way too much for my own liking. I also can't hold down a job because I'm so busy with school. At this point, I'm floating through the school year on funds I saved up from my summer job. Quitting the pot smoking and weekday drinking also has to do with money.

speaking of money, James Randal still owes us like $300 or something. I hate to bring it up, but I really don't want to get ripped off here.

Can't wait for SJFF, because SJFF means I get to go home and see my family for the first time since May. There's also a girl in Eugene that I've been meaning to hang out with. I'll see all of y'all in Seattle.

I'm not ripping you off man. I've had some tough times since I moved back to Spokane. I FINALLY got into my place last week and now I can start saving money. You will get your money.

I've been soo tired since Friday and feel like I haven't fully woken up since then. At best I've been half asleep. It's killing me because I have no idea why. diet? mono? my uncomfortable bed? caffeine addiction? quitting cigarettes?

DUDE!

seriously, I've been off caffiene for several years now. Can't tell you how much better it is without it.

More props to you for quitting cigs than hitting nemesis!

I was wasting time on myspace and went to one of my groups. they were talking about love or something and I replied "true love waits in a fetal position down by the dumpster" back in June but do not remember writing that at all. must have been a really bad day.
