I am certainly amazed and impressed (and also a little bit sick... I mean, I've been working on an all-sole game for YEARS to try to be different and demonstrate an alternative to what I see most other freestylers do, and then this guy comes out of nowhere and instantly surpasses all my efforts...

I feel like responding to everybody elses comments, though, rather than give my own raw thoughts --
a few people mentioned the shoe, as though it should count against him somehow. I say Bullshit. Everybody here modifies the playing surface of their insides and toes to there advantage. There is no reason on earth that this guy shouldn't modify his prefered playing surface too. I mean, how many of us have bristled at the suggestions of other people when they examine our shoes and soft bags and declare that we're somehow cheating? I know that I've always hated those stupid remarks, so, Shame on any of you for even thinking this about somebody else and their equipment. I mean, really, most of us never really had to think about how to modify shoes to make the proper equipment for the way we play; we had other people to learn from tricks and shoe-mods from. This guy had to invent his own style of play and his own custom mods to go along with it.

Dude, this whole style stands in clear contrast to everything you've ever seen before. This IS variety, compared to any other shredder. Besides, perhaps this is just the start of things for him and this style. After all, the variety of styles that most shredders have at their disposal today was not the invention of just one person, but of dozens and dozens of shredders inventing and sharing ideas. Its not fair to expect one individual to invent a style and flesh it out completely all on their own.

Thats flapper stall > CROSS BODY pincher. Also, agreed, cool link. Its long been a favorite of mine too. The way he plays out of this though, going from the squeeze to the other flapper, thats also real cool, and I've never seen this, nor even thought of it. Nice.

Come on, Ben... nobody here, including you, have ever seen anybody play this way before, and its already a nice, varied, virtually complete style right from the start (I mean, its already guiltless and nicely bsos, no bailing to toe stalls or basic kicks. Damn...). I think some amazement is definitely in order here.

I'm amazed and impressed, but I still have some criticisms. I disagree with Matt. I mean, I suppose most of the dexes are
technically clean, but I don't think that those swirls are nearly clean enough. The whirls are perhaps a bit better, and the blenders, while impressive in some way, are perhaps as thin as the swirls. Those dexes need to be deeper before I'll call them truly acceptable. I mean, its acceptable when somebody is attempting a new trick at the limits of their ability, but for tricks one is frequently doing bsos and in multiples or combos, circling with little more than your big toe is not an acceptable standard. Too thin. Yeah, yeah, easy for me to say, since I'm not the one doing those dexes, but still, I have my standards, and they don't change regardless of what surface you're setting and catching from.
Speaking of standards, though, many of the ducks are much better than average -- an amazing thing considering that he's doing them inbetween flapper stalls rather than clipper stalls. To maintain such a high degree of cleanness on those is sick. The sole-ee-osis were also nice, the Far ones in particular, and I'd to see more of those in combo (that is, more same-side soleeosis in succession, as opposed to alternating side-to-side ones.) Also, how about some Sole-trains (butterfly flapper stalls). I suspect that those would be easier to do nice and deep.
Okay, thats my two cents. Oh, yeah, and I'd also love to see this in person. I am eager to see more. I am shocked and suicidally depressed for being so suddenly outdone...
