Copied from the previous page:

There is ONE week until the NY Jam!!

General Information For BSC Members Attending the NY Jam

Confirmed Attending:

-Pete "hello mr. toilet, i am the shit!" Bowler
-Dank "the dank, tank, tank" Tank "tank"
-The J-Var (will be there most of the day saturday)

aright, time for more information thrown your way. dont take any of this as me being cocky or telling you shit you already know, im mostly putting this down for my own benefit so i dont forget anything and have the illest time possible.

Recommended Stuff to Bring
:arrow: money (for-)
-food
-unexpected transportation (taxi, subway, etc)
-footbags
-smokables
:arrow: at least 2 pairs of shorts
:arrow: at least 1 sweat towel
:arrow: stuff to do on the bus
:arrow: something to use as a pillow (especially if you have trouble sleeping on floors, etc)
:arrow: dutches.

Bus Information

me and doug are taking the fung wah bus from south station sometime between 3 and 5 PM. it costs 31.50 for a round trip ticket. i think i might buy my ticket probably like a week in advance, just to be sure. the bus ride takes approx. 4 hours, but its likely to take longer in friday afternoon traffic... what is the earliest you could leave, dank, chris, and/or fran on friday, because im sure my boss would let me off at whatever time i need to leave by. so just post or pm me and tell me what the ideal ealiest time you could leave friday. also post or pm what time you want/need to leave by on sunday on the way back. i figure sometime between 1:00 and 7:00 pm. so post or pm and let me know.

Things to remember While at the Jam:

:arrow: dont push yourself too hard the first day or two. save a little shred for sunday. playing footbag for about 6-8 hours in two days is actually a little harder than it sounds.
:arrow: this will give you more time for other stuff like:
:arrow: make time to introduce yourself to as many people as possible. rep the bean, yo! tell everyone what crew you're in :twisted:
:arrow: stay fucking hydrated. its going to be chilly there, almost guranteed, but you're still going to sweat. drink lots of fluids.
:arrow: no need to get shitfaced at the party. you'll regret it the next day when everyone else is shredding and you're puking. someone remind me of this at the party. haha.

important-
1. remember guys, its less acceptable to self-serve at a jam. dont be the biggest self-server in your circle. when in doubt, pass. there'll be plenty of time to kick all weekend, it will make you look a lot better if you pass after your first drop.
2. dont join a circle that already has 5 or more people unless invited to do so. instead, walk up and ask if the circle wouldnt mind splitting into two circles, or kick by yourself nearby until someone joins you. believe me, they will.

again, these are just general reminders for myself as well as anyone else who reads them. i've only been to two tournies myself so im still a newb in that area, but i definitely like the idea of us representing the shred crew in the best possible light we can.

will update with more later.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
copied from bottom of the last page:
kicky bag tomorrow, northeastern, after 5, dank, fran, chris? i'll probably only be able to play until about 7:30. and i mean i'll have to be biking away at 7:30.
but thats ok anyway, because now is like the ideal time to rest for the NY jam. why? because its essentially a fucking week away!!! so everyone who is going take everything a little easier for the next week. we should have 2-3 more "group" sessions before next friday. say like tomorrow, saturday, and next wednesday. or whatever.
Pete couldnt hit that, thats just Chris making another one of his unbelivably absurd requests yet again. :P
Do you know if you can go to the NYC jam yet Chris?
Good post Pete, thats all really important info to have, although I'l prolly end up pushing myself way too much Friday, Saturday and Sunday anyway. :roll: When are you going to get the bus tickets again? I plan to just get mine at th same time you do.
Oh, and Im totally down for a session tommorow, Im in desparate need of shred anyhow after this week of god forsaken midterms. :evil: I have class til 530 but after that I can go straight to shred.
:lol: yeah well I thought it was strange to request a nuke from Pete. Doesn't seem like he does them too much. But I never underestimate players. Not these days anyway.
oh and doug. Check my blog. You better believe you and I are shredding to the new streetlight album. We just need to hijack someone's CD boxplayerunit.
:lol: :lol: :lol:
im not gonna lie chris, that has to be the most outrageous challenge i've ever gotten from you (yes, even harder than that time you challenged me to hit shooting butter in your size 14, unlaced dunks. i dont know if that first move has ever been hit. its basically like far triple switchover with a leggy first dex :lol: :lol:
thanks for the challenge though :P
chris, tell your mom the event organizers want your shirt size and to know if you are competing, so you at least need to know if you're going or not.
also, im buying my and dougs bus tickets sometime in the next day or two.
ok, i have to get back to work.
Amazing shred session yestruday. First, dank found shit ill inside spot wit practicaly everything we needed, a water fountain, a bathroom and an easy exit. I played the best that I have ever played yesturday. I was hitting nice strings with more than like 3 contacts. My game seems to be progressing pretty fast right now. All I have to do is drill my flip cuz everything I do is on my strong side. But anyway everyone played rly well yesturday....
i dont really remember what i hit other than:
-34 contacts guiltess
-reaper>pixie muted clipper
-stepping far rev. whirl>pdx egg
-pixie muted xbody rake>far symple swirl
we're most definitely going to be using that indoor spot like all winter. that spot is CHOICE.
BSC WHAT?!?
me and dank had an ill two-man session on the common. we were both playing really well. i hit blurry whirl b2b>ps whirl>run and
:arrow: ripwalk>sidewalk>rubberman>ripwalk>sidewalk>food processor>drop on pdx whirl :!: :!: :twisted:
doug was hitting some nice really long strings, and some nice guiltless stuff too. i remember pixie ducking clipper>drifter and some solid looking spinning moves midstring.
we're both kicking a lot since the tourney is coming up so soon, and trying to solidify our games.
Hey BSC! Sorry to have been out of contact for so long, but when you get married you'll see how time consuming the process is.
I was in Colorado for the wedding and saw some Paul Mestas bags being sold in a toy store. It was weird to see actual real bags in a store.
Hit up St. Lucia for 10 days for the honeymoon.
Anyway, I'm back and would love to kick again!
Peace
