Well, not killing you, but possibly contributing to cancer and infertility.

Emily told me about this a while ago but I just recently decided to look into the products that I use (shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.) after reading this article: http://alternet.org/healthwellness/66074/

Basically, in the U.S. there are tons of products that have chemicals known to cause cancer and infertility in them, in trace amounts. Europe doesn't allow even trace amounts in their products, however, and while there's no way to know for sure that these products are contributing to cancer/infertility etc., I'm going to stop using products that are high in dangerous chemicals. Most of these dangerous chemicals are usually only found in the off brands. Not generic or popular brand names. Can't remember the brands, but there were about 15 kinds of toothpaste recently locked out of the US because they contained dangerous amounts of... Hell, I can't even remember what chemical it was.... but it kills you if enough is consumed. So yeah, kids swallowing too much of their toothpaste started getting sick. Surprise surprise, the toothpaste product hailed from China. No deaths occurred, but a lot of people needed treatment.

The US lets in small amounts of chemicals that are potentially dangerous if consumed or whatnot in larger quantities. I don't think that's very safe at all, but w/e. My mom is always up to date one those kind of things... From what I've read, most of Europe is really really strict on those kinds of things... Like the quantities of such things have to be none, or practically undetectable... It's the same with our water supplies... We have so many dangerous chemicals in our water, that we don't bother to completely eliminate because we're told that the small amounts of them we do have, are safe... Don't know what it's like in other countries though.

Try searching Colgate or Crest. If it's worse that a 2 on the Skin Deep website it's no longer a low hazard.

If you swallow enough of any kind of toothpaste it will make you sick/die. Toothpaste is not meant to be eaten...

There is a specific amount that is supposed to be safe to consume, because children tend to swallow more toothpaste than adults do. Eating too much of anything can kill you Jeremy, we all already know this, but thanks for checking up on our common sense. Do you take PayPal?
