this 19 minutes is to demonstrate exactly how to do it well (or in dats opinion how to do it well), and believe me, Dat is an accomplished stitcher, im sure once you get the technique down you can do it faster, but dont be dumb to deduce that every panel would take 19 minutes.

Make your own video and show me up. Seriously, I want you to. Honestly it could be better, but I contributed because no one else ever made one.

I keep forgetting to post in this thread about how helpful this was to me. I've more or less just started stitching and without a person standing right over me helping me get started (though I've had the opportunity a few times) this is definitely the next best thing.

It looks like the only real differences are that you start between hexes and close off the gap between hexes. I like to keep that hex gap open so if I want to I can insert a straw to easily adjust filler later; the filler still stays in the bag either way.

Just seems like a matter of preference, not integrity of technique. You could have just said, "I do it differently, like this: ... because ..." and started a discussion, instead of just saying my way sucks. For the sake of progress I will try your method for my next bag.

Thanks for pointing out your method at least. I still would like to see someone else make a video and show different techniques and possibly better visibility. Looking back, putting that paper underneath was a terrible idea, as it is very distracting visually. As warning, it's not easy to stitch with a camera rigged under your face.

You're too nice Dat. Thanks for going to the trouble of making that tutorial.

I always join the hexes in the same way as Josef does, and I can still adjust the filler with a straw. I dont understand the big knot part that he begins with though...
