October Review
Kicked 17/31 days. 9 solo, 8 with peeps. Good solo count, but not enough days in general - I blame "work".
Mostly had long string sessions. Stamina sessions. Bops, whirls, spins and ducks. Spins and ducks really coming along. Some handstands.

New stuff: spinning ducking, pixie dso (sailing-ish), sailing butter BS, superfly, tapping dlo

Visitors: Mike Hansen, Chase from Maine
Freddy joined 3 dex club
met uchi

Kicked with
1x: Mike H, Mike M., twitch, ronnie, meinard
2x: Kamil, Reile, freddy, jake, Chase
3x: josh, andre
4x: zeke, nathan

Kicked @
Portage: 8
Welles: 4
Home: 2
IP: 1
Merrimac: 1
Art Academy: 1

I forgot I hit Armageddon again when I kicked with Jake (but from clipper). with shoes this time.

It was midnight and I was tired after all the La Raza chilling, but I figured I'd sesh for 30 (ended up like 1.5-2 hr). No shoes so I worked pixies (that sounds sorta like I was a gay pimp).

20 Magellan>pix ss mir BS

I hit symp eggbeater the other day @ Portage w/ Jake, so I wanted to balance those pups out. My flip egg ain't all that. I warmed up with 5 or so flails, then went for it and BOOSH! 10 symp eggbeaters. Not really hard at all. Some were even like 3 or 4 in a row (with pause and hand catch).

I figured I should even them out, so I busted 10 symp eggbeaters on the other side. They were harder even though it's my strong side, but I drank mad water in between.

[Mad water: Hi I'm h2.. what'd u say hOe?]

So yes, I hit symp eggbeater after hitting miraging symp eggbeater (Armageddon). like pdx blender and blurry blender.

~~~
I saw Zach on WTS! Was waiting to see it with crew on the large screen, and Reile got the comp to TV cable.
My jaw/face hurt for a few hours after leaving La Raza. We are too funny for our own goose.
~~~
Goals for this week:
kick at least 4 times in the next 6 days.
make up an unusual move.
hit gyro barrage 10 times.

hit pixie-man... I was thinking of a name for the pixie schooling combo I do (smear>smudge>pixie ss mirage>RPT), but I don't think that deserves a man suffix... plus I can already do it, so not much of a goal And the name pixieman is way worse than just pixie alone, so let's go with grinder-man, and throw in some more pixie>toe moves, like all of them! maybe throw in magellan and pixie pickup.

so my last goal this week is to throw in one more pixie move (magellan) into that repeat combo.

K, so I'mma try and post weekly updates starting now! Feel free to berate me, or post scat porn in here if I don't do that. That'll keep me honest.
Not much to talk about for last week. 2 days of freestyle for an hour a piece.

pixie work
i learned to set not so far away (closer) and to the side.

sux to relearn, but i didn't have it good in the first place. need to string some toe shuffle. i relaced my left shoe to not eat footbags and keep them in it's mouth. prolly should do the right one.

this week
since i only had 2 days of pixie. I'll make this week pixie too.

Goals
Goal a: drill pixie ss clp/butter 500x BS
Goal b: 5 3-move combos with pixie something in it Bsos'ed 5x each

Last weeks goals were set pretty well. Just enough and a little more. To tackle the then arbitrary 500 pixie ss clp BS, I ended up doing 50 pixie ss clp and 50 pixie ss butter BS, but the next day I did ten pixie something up to 100 to switch it up. Kinda nice. Had to come up with 10 so did some cool varieties. And the last 2 or 3 I ended doing fairy! I did 1 3-move combo - ALL pixie moves each day too. also 100 pushups (4x 25) each day.

I had 6 days to complete it in (not counting sunday), so at that pace I could have finished in 5, but I didn't play 2 days so only 400 pixie-whatev and 4 3-move combos

Fairy is actually really good to do because it forces you to set straight up (making a better pixie maybe too), and it is a good stretch for your knee and hip. And stretching those joints is good for for sexing and ninjaing as well as footbag.

I modded my shoes too! I have a pretty big toe box, and my outside toe wall was always eating the footbag. I ended up sewing the toe box tongue edge to the outside toe wall (beneath the eyeholes). also I made an extra hole beyond the first eyelet to open it up more. then on the other side I used floss instead of thread cuz it's stronger. And I went further and sewed around the toe wall to down by the low outside of the shoe. This opened up the wall really well. Changed the lacing a bit and it's money. Lastly I took out the insoles! more like playing in socks. Closer to the ground, feel much more. Love it. hope it doesn't ruin my feet.

This week
warm up with fairy drills.
10 3-move pixie combos 4x each.
1 new move

Your frankenshoes are awesome. I'm glad the new mods are working out. I'm still fiddling with my lacing & may steal some of your techniques.

Your hard work & commitment to improving your game really show. But how will I ever catch up to you?

I have a suggestion for your winter practice, because I know last summer you felt like your runs didn't have the variety you would like: write down the tricks you bail to, come up with a couple replacements for each those bails, and school them. Like do one session each week where you aren't allowed to do your typical bails or something. Then this summer you'll have a whole new arsenal to melt our faces off with.

Sometime during spring break we should have a jam in Chicago. Call up the Jahner and talk to him about it. I'll look into my schedule. Chicago once or twice a year isn't enough. And its quite cheap.

Anyone up for it?

Shit chea! You and Zach and us and maybe FTB if they're here. We could record the whole thing and sell it to HBO cuz it's finna be so funny, and the footbag so raw.

Note: I kicked for 2 hours solo today. some various components were tough to hit my 6 move pixie combo with. So I had to change it up. But they sure were fun. I can't wait to incorporate pixie out of merkon and diving mirage and sheet.

Reid and Eric:
Hellz yeah for that Spring thing. I can make it after March 15.

I hit gyro flail BS. And tried gyro flux. I was surprised to see that I could almost get the dex part. I was only able to do like 10 tries b4 I ran outta time; I'll work more on it later. You guys in on this race?

Iunno, my downtime flux is kind of non-existent. I'll give it a go though so count me in.

We should race to mantis too (for Reid: mantis=gyro egg).

:lol: haha, i have fun
