Had a session today with Eddie. No one else could make it but it was super fun. I had a few highlights, but I was most impressed by Eddie's progress. I asked him to try dlo and he tried a couple times and missed and then just kept on trying. He winded up hitting it on flipside first, and then he started busting them both sides all the time, he probably hit like 25 over the course of the session. He also was super close to drifter, and he hit spinning op toe and both ducking clippers. I had him try pixie set and stepping for the first time too. He was able to hit a couple pixie sets on each side, but I was most impressed that he did a nice stepping set today! I was super suprised with the way he was trying it, it was like he knew how to do it but was just a bit slow on it. He stepped up the intensity and busted it out though. I was super stoked for him, his osis are getting a lot better too. It won't be long before he becomes a lot stronger on his guiltless runs.
Well that's about all, really fun session everyone should come out next time.

James and I had a session yesterday after the football game win. No one else showed up but we definately kicked for a strong two hours. I think by the one hour mark we became increasingly worse at run length and migrated to the pavement, instead of the mats. The mats are great most of the time but that was not a day for them.
We both didn't have nearly as successful of a day as last Saturday but you can't expect mind blowing sessions every time. James has kept his consistency with his whirls, which are all improving. I made some improvements on toe to toe combos and run length myself. The most exciting part of the session was when a drunk USC fan threw a beer at us and said "Hacky sack is for fags". He must have been really stupid because James and I immediately stopped playing, said, "what the fuck" simultaneously, and stepped of our mat toward the retard. Lucky for him he had a group of guys apologizing for his mistake knowing how fucking stupid he really was. Neither of us were in the mood for it though, so even the apologies pissed us off further. | | That close to a fun fight that day.
New stuff:
Learned how to nuclear set a lot better.
Pdx Torques a lot stronger
Learned that my drifters suck
Less BOPS
Triple Terrage? Name? Toe Triage?

Wow, I'm really surprised somebody would do that to you. The average footbagger isn't that big, so I could see people doing that to us scrawny dudes. But starting a fight with somebody like your or Klokow is impressive.Maraxus wrote:most exciting part of the session was when a drunk USC fan threw a beer at us and said "Hacky sack is for fags". Oh, and triple pixie=trixie.

For some reason people in Eugene seem to be getting a lot less receptive to footbag. Not exactly sure why, but nobody really stops to watch and there have been quite a few rude people lately. The last one was probably the worst and got us fairly angry. I mean who throws a beer can? I really wanted to show Aaron how great kicking on campus can be, but unfortunately it hasn't been the same recently.
Gonna try to get a session up in portland next sunday. I don't think Aaron will be able to make it due to work, but I am going to grab nate on the way up.

Had an awesome time up in Portland yesterday. Nate wasn't able to make it, but he should have because it was really fun. Red as always makes you feel really welcome and he setup a nice indoor spot for us to kick at. Met quite a few new faces up there that are really awesome at footbag and got to see Nick and Jake again. Those two are simply crazy. Red was playing really well too going for long runs with lots of 5s. Nick was trying some ridiculous combos and to my suprise can bust out those paradox sidewalks and spinning sidewalks like nothing in runs. Kenny also came out and kicked for quite a while as well. He was also playing great and invited us over to his house for pizza, beer, and Transformers
Kenny and his wife Kendal are really awesome hosts and they just kept feeding us. I think Red ate a lot of the kids halloween candy haha. It was almost 10:30 before I started the drive home for Eugene and it was probably the most foggy outside I have ever seen it. Made it home just fine though and woke up in time for work.
Thanks to Red, Kenny and everyone for showing me a good time up in Portland.

We had one of the largest sessions ever in Eugene today. We had probably 10 footbag players out. So many new faces came to this session. It was a really fun time. I can't believe how huge our footbag crew is getting. Casey also busted out paradox mirage, and eddie had ducking clip>ducking clip almost. He also continued with the dlo work and hit quite a few.
I hit flaming tard for the first time today, sealed to a run. It actually feels really easy I think with a little work I should be able to throw it all the time. Other than that I just went for really long runs and tried to vary my combos during.

Might as well post something in here...
SJFF was fun, too lazy to do a write up though, tried a few times and failed.
Aaron got us a nice Saturday kick spot in Oz Fitness, so that's nice. Had a session with Aaron Casey and Alex Saturday. Went pretty well, alex and casey are getting a lot better. Casey can hit dimwalk now and can hit datw at will. I tried mostly runs with as many fives as I could put in. 5s seem to be getting a lot easier now. Run length was good most were 20-30 so I was happy with that. Aaron did some big stuff and had some nice runs too. We also played a bit of hack for a while. I want to hit 5 5s in a row I still haven't done that... I don't think I have hit 4 in a row either so that should be my goal.
Had a weird dream with Jorden Moir in it for some reason. He was in town to kick with us and was staying the night but all he did was juggle and play Mario Galaxy. Every time we tried to play footbag he said he needed to go to 7-eleven. What a weird dream

hey eugene/fizzidians
SJFF was dope. I've been to EVERY one. Thats right matt baker, all of them. I ate a ton of cookies and got to level 7 in guitar hero on hard. James didn't drink nearly enough to get a good picture because he was sick. Aaron provided some incredible John reading, high times for gym rats, did I mention his mom rules? By sunday I decided I like to shred.
James is the shit, period, the best dude I know: we shred friday- got it? good!
