I think I mentioned this before, so as a reminder, I'm not going to be at the event. Barret and Vince are the people to talk to the day of if you need to speak to a director about something.

I've got a test I'm taking early so I can skip the class later and go to this. So I"ve got to go and do the test, get driven to the train station within 10 minutes after the test being completed, and then arrive in NYC two and a half hours later!!!!!!! Oh baby this is going to be fun

Holy crap. I havent been on modified in maybe a month, forgot allllllll about this tournament, and WAS working a dinner shift (I'm a waiter).

But I got the shift off and I'm taking the train to the city at like 8 in the morning. Not really competing (unless in 4 square) but definitely will be a damn good spectator haha. Promised myself I wouldnt do my first actual competition until 2008 when I'm at least somewhat "okay". Sorry!

Anyway see everyone tomorrow! Hope the weather holds up!

WOW!!!! I have been scrutinized a bit for being a bit negative about the timeing and logistics of this event. Well now that its over I have too say THIS WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!!!! We had around 4000 people stroll by on a cold and damp day. Gave out a feww hundred IFPA flyers, almost all of mine and Kolo's business cards and reach over 500 young kids who may play competitively one day. Big props too barret and darryl for pushing forward with this thing. The results were MOIR,CLAVENS,CLAVENS,MOIR,MOIR,CLAVENS,CLAVENS,MOIR, or something like that. Anyway barret has the reults and I am sure as soon as he bings his GPA back above passing he will post them. Can't wait too help out for the spring fling. see ya ted f

Barrett put together a great event. I'm not sure if anyone realizes what a big deal this would have been for anyone to wrangle-up, being NYC, public space, etc, but he did it.

This was an enormous success.

The turnout was great and I met so many people that I look forward to kicking with again.

What a great weekend.

That was a great event guys. Sooo many people passed through and Matt Cross was great on the mic. I bounced right before everyone headed to dinner, I wasn't feeling too great and the city atmosphere was getting to me (Hopefully my number didnt come up in the raffle!) I swear I almost saw 10 people get nailed by a bus on the walk back to Grand Central because they were in such a hurry!

Anywaaay I have a very nice time and need to get my ass to New York to kick after this long winter and not wait till next year's event, which I'm sure will be just as good. Bravo on such a great event everyone.

You were missed. Though it sounds like you had a pretty awesome weekend anyway. :)
