Just some copy/pastes from the "shred symposium"
Far butterswirl -> p.torque bs,
Whirr bsos.
Whirling opp. butter->ss butter*rpt
Not really a run, but I did blurriest / jani / blurry whirl / tomahawk / matador all on command, in a row, flipside, with one or two hiccups on tomahawk.

Anyway, today felt really good. I took a day and a half off, and dranks lots of water and well, sat on my ass really, just to let my legs heal from all of the symposium stuff I've been doing recently. Today's session proved to be awesome, and I can only imagine tomorrow's being even better.
Anyway, the point of this post is to request any and all challenges for an upcoming video. Liam and I both agreed that after seeing Ales's/Honza's new video that we must make a good tennis court session before the weather is too bad, and well, I figure if we are making a video anyway I should have a bunch of ideas to throw in.
So, the requests can be big tricks, big links, big combo's, certain tricks to bsos, anything. They can be extremely challenging, tricks I can't hit, the sky is the limit. I will probably just put in the best attempt at the challenge, to better show where my game is 'at'.
So, for all of you blog readers, here is your open invitation to give me a challenge!

Well, on Friday Liam and I went out to the tennis court to try and get some footage, but two others decided they wanted to tag along which made for two things, 3 people in 5-10 degree weather = no chance to even warm up, and the second guy wanted to Film, and he wasn't exactly motivated (aka, filming crotch shots...)
Either way, I got my ripped warrior b2b, and then bsos'ed it in the very same run. That was cool. I remembered Erik and Pirate-Man's challenges, and decided to try and not bop. I decided that doing runs in that environment was going to be more frustrating than good, as 20 contact low-bop runs would be a challenge in itself.
Anyway, I practised my Whirr's and blenders and DDD's (right clipper, left double down, right clipper?). I got a new record for blender->hand catch->opp blender, at 23, and I got a new DDD flip record of 14 (hand catch inbetween of course)... I am unsatisfied with how I am always changing my style with those two tricks, so I think I have the 'best' way right now, so I am just trying to beat the crap out of the muscle memory for them.
Anyway, I've had two sessions in my basement, yesterday and today, and I said that I MUST get spinning down. If I want to be able to easily do 20+ low-bop guiltless runs, I need to have more spinning involved. I can do pixie/atomic/toe and clipper/stepping sets and consistantly, but shuffle for long periods of time is so tiring, and there is so much room for error I'd like to have more than ducking/diving consistant for a little break.
So, some spinning drils that I did today (multiple times..)
Spinning clipper->spinning butterfly->spinning osis,
Spinning clipper->spinning ducking clipper->gyro osis.
Other, one direction, momentum drills...
Ducking osis->far refraction->torque,
Dyno->motion
If you couldn't tell, I watched some Lon Smith footage and decided that when I get good at footbag, I want to have the ability to just keep on spinning in one direction, with ultimate smoothness. I envy Lon's ability to do that, and I can't WAIT until I have tripless/fearless spinning moves consistant, which I imagine will take a good few months until I can hit anything near scorpions tail->spinning whirl->spinning ducking butterfly etc...
I am not sure if they are clean or not, but it is safe to say that I can hit a very very styley symple butterfly, if not superfly now. I had hit a bunch of superfly's strong side, and even though I COULD hit flip paradox flail, it never felt comfortable. Anyway, I was fooling around with superfly and learned how to do the "hop" better, and now I can hit flip superfly. Again, I'll need video confirmation for clean-ness, but it must be at least a styley symple butterfly
I've also been toying around with ps whirls, and I have decided that I need to get my paradox whirls better in order for them to work. Whirls have never really been a nice trick for me, I can do them and do them confidently, but it seems I still haven't found the 'best' way to do them for me yet.
Drifter->spinning anything feel SO cool! They are really easy too, I don't know why.
Anyway, I think for future sessions I am going to definetly keep working on spinning, and I think that quantum sets are in the books as well. In fact, whirling and nuclear are also necessary. I can always just sorta, throw them in strings, but they are always the "Am I going to hit this??!?" trick, instead of something I want to have as a staple.
I have also decided that I am going to get Ripstein and Whirr as consistent as possible, just for "crowd pleasing" abilities. The other day someone walked up while I was shredding, and the first trick they saw me hit was Ripstein, and it got TONS more comments than, anything else I did. I'd like to have Whirr and Ripstein as they tricks that I can just, do, in case I ever need to show someone what footbag is.
I hit blizzard->tripwalk->ripwalk*rpt too. I hate how tripwalk is so rediculously easy in comparison to toe blur. It is in the same boat as furious mirage, I can do both but they are just so much easier to clipper...

After thought of how I am doing in 'shred'...
I was thinking about how it is obvious, that I should just do string length instead of wasting my time with big, or weird tricks. But, I think that it is far more exciting for me to have the mix I have right now. I am not neglecting strings, I just drill so many damn drills so often that I think I get the consistancy for strings from that. I don't know how you are supposed to "drill" strings, seeing as when you just focus on doing strings for a day, you fall into so many repetitive habits. I probably attempted that spinning clipper->spinning butterfly->spinning osis drill at least 250 times today, and I am sure that in two weeks since I am drilling it so hard, that it will be far more consistant than if I said "I'm going to go for a spinning trick this string"....
Another thing I was thinking about Big Tricks for, is that since I am on the "verge" of getting past "bop"ing inbetween highlights in my strings, that it won't take me nearly as long to encorperate them into my strings, when I get there. And then I think of the flip-argument to that, possibly if I didn't waste my time doing all of the big tricks, I would have had my strings consistant enough that I would be past my BOP'ing stage at the moment.
Then I think, any time I hit a new trick, I only try it about 20 times, which takes all of 5 minutes. When I hit my first mobius, the day after I learned torque, I only tried it for about 5-10 minutes, I don't think it was a big detriment. When I first hit riptide, soon after I had learned butterfly swirl, I only tried it for about 5-10 minutes, etc. When I say, "I figured out flipside superfly" it was literally -watch david clavens' new video, see where he set the bag, try it, Voila!- so, I am not sure if how I progress in this game is as immature as I think it might be.
Meh, it isn't a race.[/i]

pretty much when i want to learn new tricks in footbag nowadays, ill look at a clip in super frame by frame slo mo of the trick i want to hit. And then ill ask jim for help, and then i go over the motions (without a bag) so that my body knows what it should (or i think it should) feel like. Sounds pretty similar to how you do it, so i dont think your idea of learning tricks is immature at all.

Some highlights from tonight.
Spinning clipper -> blender -> far swirl, bsos.
Multiple runs over 25+ contacts,
Motion Bsos, (Zeb inspired)
PDX egg and pdx DLO bsos.
And now the wonderful one,
Bedwetter bsos.
I learnt pdx egg two days ago, drilled it yesterday, and Bedwetter just came so nice today. First try I got it strongside, and about 5th flipside. Then I bsos'ed it.
I have a strange feeling that if I had've tried Fog it wouldn't be that far off either.
My blenders are feeling really solid at the moment, so now, after pondering on how to improve my strings, I must do,
More atomics,
More drifters,
Somehow I just can't seem to get quantum sets going for me. I tried placing my feet different distances apart, forwards/backwards and side/side, and I tried whipping my foot out there like Clavens, and then pointing it downwards and then barely coming over the bag, and then sucking it in like Suderman, and both didn't feel any more comfortable.
How come it is Furious sets mid-string are easier for me than quantum? Why?

Good evening young Jay. I am in the advice giving mood.
Quantum tips with David
So your having problems with your quantum set eh? Well, so did I when I was just a wee shredder, and here are some random bits of advice that might help you. School them one by one, then think of them all together and something might click. So here is what is in my head before I quantum. They are numbered, but they are all of equal importance.
1) Foot placement. When I do this I have the set foot pointed straight out, and I have the support leg firmly planted (on the toe for spring) pointing a tad inward.
2) Leg placement. My legs are about natural width apart, by this I mean straight down locked at the knees, thats the amount of distance. Depending on how high I want the set I will move my legs closer together, this will save time when you....
3) Set. If we are setting from left toe, dexing with right leg we will approach like this: The right leg sinks into the ground using the knees bending. The left foot is toes curled up, ready to release bag. The right foot is still turned inward, but will explode like a symposium mirage. It cuts over first, then up. Over so you clear the bag, up so you get out of the way so it can keep rising. The left leg does NOT set the bag at all. The momentum from the right leg hop does all the setting of the bag, just like in an atomic set. The thing here is that you have to get rid of the dex very fast, while in atomic you can just shove it under the back of your knee.
4) After set. Continue the rising of the right leg, left toe goes back into the ground to gain stability for following trick (most likley a butterfly or op mirage). The right leg should come over the bag at almost the same time the left foot hits the ground to complete the set. Think of it like you are climbing over the bag, that might make something click. You are lunging forward just getting your leg up and over, and then you can come back down.
5) Extra advice.
a) school this trick out of blur or pdx. mirage. It is most likely you will do quantum after a mirage trick when you are first learning.
b) master the symp hop. it will provide all the spring you need.
c) stretch your hips before and after skooling this. the flexibility will help the set clear faster and get higher. This will also reduce injury.
d) You want to plant your feet fast after the set. This is key to a nice looking downtime component.
e) Watch players who have good quantums in slow motion (vasek, penske, sebastien).
f) Have fun, be original.
See you soon.

Cornell! I'm not in a very 'creative' fun loving writing mood, so this will be a very bland writeup.
First, I get to Tom's house at around 8:00 AM, and get to go inside and watch Chad Peng and Tom finish up breakfast. After loading up the car with all our stuff, we start the car ride to pick up Jorden at some gas station and we discuss stitching and how girls "cat called" tom when he was biking from work, and then proceeded to stalk him. It sounded funny.
We pick up Jorden, and then have me in the middle back seat, with peng and chad on either side. Peng began to stitch a super-sweet-super-vibrant 32, which looked about 2* better than the previous Peng I had bought. I had over-compensated and paid Tom way more than just gas costs because I wanted to thank him for driving all of us, and Peng decided that that kind deed was enough to give me that bag, which I am now in love with! The middle seat of a car ride really makes your body go numb, but with the comedian Tom played over the speaker-system of the PT cruiser I hardly noticed. Tom sang along to "Its too late to apologize" in a very "its too late to apologize" tone, which now makes me laugh everytime I hear the song.
After 5.5 hours, 1 of which was spent at the border, we make it to the hilliest and most-movie-like university in the mountains of Ithica New York, where "daniel" our very-pretentious-british GPS system guide didn't let Tom miss a turn. We made it to the event site, where the plush green astroturf made it very bright for the hundreds of jugglers and dozens of footbaggers alike. I saw Peter Irish first, said hello and then was blessed by a string where I saw Dave Clavens busting out, I think he hit Nemesis and alpine Fog that string. Damn. I was told I was in "circle" with jorden and Tom since we were late, and obviously jorden won. I am not sure if Tom or I beat eachother, but I am happy to say that since that means that I am almost on par with the Mr.Tom Mosher (during that day, during those 10 minutes anyway).
Afterwards I greeted Matt K who felt like some sort of "long lost" friend, and Matthieu Soucey who was similar. We played in a "triangle" with a crusty bag, where we showed eachothers progress off. Matt K has incredible style, I can't wait until he can play at a world-class level, because he will be so much fun to watch, even if he didn't turn out to be creative at all. I imagine he will though. Dave Clavens stretched and cooled off for a bit, and played with us, with his super-red-green Clavens bag, which has a (in my opinion) completely different feel than his bags I bought/played with at worlds. I bought one immediately, gracing the very opportunity with my life, as I knew it would be one of the best bags I ever would play with.
We got kicked out (politely and expected, so not really kicked) at 5:00 I think, so we went out for dinner. We met up somewhere in the middle of College Town, and it was Tom/our group and Flash Gorden/his group. Dave Jorden and Pipenberg split up, and Peng/Chad/Tom split up, and I was sorta in the middle. Not knowing what food I wanted, I decided that I might as well go with Tom, as I hear Dave call out 20 feet behind me "Where you going?" or something, as in a polite way of saying "come with us". At that moment I truly remembered how awesome Dave was. Anyway, we went for some deep dish pizza, which was delicious. Ordering Pizza with Dave was comical, as he asked the waitress in a completely casual way the exact ratio of cheese/crust/topping ratio, as he needed to know if this exact size of pizza would fill him completely up. Jorden made a few jokes with him, and I am not sure if he noticed it, but you can really see how compatible / what good friends / Dave and Jorden are, because Jorden seemed like a slightly different person around Dave. Not boisterous or more outgoing, just, more comfortable than with, anyone else. Jorden and Dave discussed some high-level-über-top-secret (kidding) Shred stuff within the community, and at that moment was it really the only feeling of "superiority" from both of them. The reason I say this is because it makes me so happy to be in a community where the top shredders in the world not only invite you to eat pizza with them, but are so down-to-earth that you completely forget that they are you and 1000 other beginners Idols' from around the world.
Jorden has the biggest appetite I've ever seen. After eating the entire quarter pizza (we split it 4/4) where Dave, Nathan and I were full, he goes to a Burrito place and eats an rather-large size mexican delight. He didn't even flinch at the thought of that much food. Tank.
We then went to the juggling show, where I discovered yet again how cool Dave was, because he is ALREADY a master magician. He will probably laugh at me calling him a master, because he has only played for a month, but it is likely like a kid at school calling a "Mirage->legover->pickup" link the most INSANE thing ever. Either way, I was completely fooled at the dozens of tricks Dave pulled off, all with extreme Clavens' style. He is so confident and smooth with his tricks, which probably made him about 10* better than his "trick" level actually was.
The juggling show was, I can't think of the word. So many new concepts I had never thought of were performed, and I think the most impressive was Cigar-Box juggling. The performer would push 3 cigar boxes together end-end, and then with the force take one box away, and flip it around somewhere and then press it back together, so that the two remaining boxes seemed unharmed. That description probably made no sense.
We walked back to the parking lot, which was blocks away, where Tom jumped over just about every surface there was, just like all of those "parkour"/"free runners" do. He is so, spontaneous.
There was a party at Luis' MANSION OF A FRAT HOUSE! Biggest house I've ever been too, mainly because it was built into the side of a hill so it was illusive in size. The main floor provided area for juggling and 4 square, sleeping and Billiards. The highlight of the night was finding the "oasis". We were all hungry at 12:00 or so at night, and then we walked into another room, where we found a table completely full of cake, fruit and well, more cake. Delicious, carrot cake was "the bomb". Eventually we fell asleep, which didn't take nearly as long as I thought considered 5 feet away there was a full party. At this time I almost stepping on Dave Clavens, which, in a sleeping bag looks mysteriously camoflauged with hardwood floors. Sorry about that
.
Waking up was hilarious, groggy but yet energetic footbaggers make multiple jokes which probably wouldn't be funny if you hadn't of just woken up. I massaged my new clavens bag, and then we went to a Diner where Matt Cross/Waylon/Chad/Tom/Peng/Jorden/Will Digges/I played 4 square as we waited for our tables to be ready. We then tried, seriously, playing 9 square in about 2 square feet of room. We actually had a few rotations. Disgusting.
The food was something I couldn't pass up on, seeing as American Food>Canadian Food ANY day of the week. Milkshakes, cornbeef hash, buttersweet. Anyway, Matt Cross was the center of attention at my Table, because he is just such a confident guy. He perfectly illustrated a man with two children whining and screaming walking down the street, sincerely telling him "Use (pause), use protection". Tee hee hee.
We went to the event site, where I played, ok, nothing special but nothing horrible. The main reason this paragraph exists is Dave Clavens and Jorden Moir, doing groundbreaking stuff, which David kindly *crushing dreams* refered to "Alpine blurry whirl->Double blender, Bsos" as "baby stuff". Their level of shred just multiplied in intensity everytime I saw them. I requested Gaunlet from Dave, so that I could see how it was done because every time I do it I really have to swing on the osis. He just did it in perfect style (midrun...) and my solution was that my torques just need about 1,000,000 more seals and then I'll do them well. Chris Dean is fucking good at footbag. His paradox Torque is textbook. Dear god.
As everyone left, we played in a hallway. This was my first circle with Nathan Pipenberg, (burg?) who just makes footbag look like nothing. It is almost as if it is, just, casually walking down a street, and them stopping to look at a shiny penny, when he drops.. That is seriously the only way I can describe him ending a string. It is just so natural, and confident.
This inspired me to drill the crap out of Paradox Drifters.
When Tom and others decided smoking weed was more fun than sitting down in a hallway, Jorden, Paul Agostonelli *sp?* and I played with random concepts here or there. I asked for advice mainly, and both were very good at helping me. The main highlight of this was learning the difference between hopping, and having a "quick switch of the feet". I was thinking at the busstop about two weeks ago why I have been doing the move "whirl" for over a year now, and why it doesn't feel as "undroppable" as something like pdx mirage. This "quick switch of the feet" Jorden described solved that very issue.
Jorden hit inside set surging butterfly. First try. Jesus christ. I had imagined that move a week earlier as I was playing with Surging, and then mystically it was as if he had known this, practised it, and then suddenly invented it on the spot. Does telepathy come with 5+ years of footbag? I sure hope so.
Anyway, the drive back was a little bit stressful for me, because we had stayed a little too long and I my Dad still had to pick me up at Tom's house and drive me home after we got back. Turns out I am grounded this week, because of it, even through Halloween. The drive itself was good, everyone was in such a different state than when we were driving to Cornell just a day before, and it reminded me exactly of worlds, except our legs weren't completely dead. Jorden has a black Pomeranian dog, which well, out of all the dogs "The Destroyer" could own I wouldn't expect it to be that. I love how casual and ''normal'' footbaggers are. I have repeated this point and beaten it down today, because I am still just so flabbergasted that "superstars" are actually quite normal people, at least the ones that Hollywood doesn't produce.
Thanks Ken and Luis for hosting this event, it was a real treat.

I want atomic in my game soo badly.
I also hit pdx drifter->torque bsos.
Symp. Whirl -> far swirl ->blender. bs.
And more stuff that doesn't come to mind.
Sorry about that
Waking up was hilarious, groggy but yet energetic footbaggers make multiple jokes which probably wouldn't be funny if you hadn't of just woken up.

New way of looking at paradox whirls.
When I was a far wee-er shredder, than my present wee-shredder self, I discovered the move paradox whirl. I asked Matthias and Clemens, in Wiesbaden as to how I could go about doing this trick, and in german they said "Set the bag across you, point your ass out, dex it, and clipper".
I practised, and paradox whirls hurt. I didn't ever get the dex right, and then a few months later I asked my friend Liam, in Georgetown Canada, from Germany, to make me a small video as to how to hit them.
That night, I did them exactly the way his video showed, and I hit them, perhaps I will quote that blog entry.
So here I am, 1 year of doing whirls and they suck,. Even at cornell, Ken said to me "they almost look too slicy
" AT the end of it, I asked Jorden for his advice, and he showed me a thing or two. Two main things, was that there was absolutely no hop necessary to completing a whirl. I imagine my massive, untimed, hop was part of the reason I couldn't step out of it. He also said that it should feel like the thigh stretch where you pull your heel behind you towards your back. This made no sense to me at the time, because well, how can you dex a whirl that far behind you?
Anyway, today, slightly determined because I knew Jorden knew what he was talking about, I decided to re-learn pdx whirls. For some reason, the shining words from the very first time I tried them "stick your ass out" and the words Jorden said "feel like this stretch" stuck together, and voila.
So, here is how I think of a pdx whirl now,
Throw the bag up in the air,
Get a nice, smooth deep clipper delay,
Set it upwards about belly-button ish height, simultaneously do a massive, perhaps 180 degree turn,
Let your dexing leg almost dangle as you pivot, instead of 'cocking' it for the dex like I used to,
Almost visualize the dex like a pincher, which results in your ass pointing itself way out there,
do the thigh stretch of jordens,
clipper,
Thank god that it felt so smooth and delightful.
Anyway, I also played around with Gyro toe stuff, inspired by Dave. First I did just "toe osis" then "toe far osis" and they felt pretty good. The secret to catching these blindy I find is setting them perfectly straight up, however arching towards you. Then I tried clipper set, like in the cornell video of dave, and these worked out well. This was one of the first tricks that my flipside took actual studying before it clicked. Well, it took all of 2 minutes, but, still. Then I said to myself "why not alpine?" and I got diving / ducking gyro toes. Then I tried far-reverse whirling gyro toes, got them. Then I decided that any far clipper stuff would be easy, and got pixie versions. Then I said "Hello atomic" and then, with ALOT more effort, atomic gyro toe came into existance. Doing the atomic, and then turning the opposite way of the dex to catch it with the atomic foot is alot harder than I thought.
Anyway. I did them bsos many a time, and I can't wait until I can, just, throw them in like a duck or spin to save some energy. Thanks Dave
Other random highlights...
drifter->mobius bs was easy.
pdx drifter-drifter*rpt was alot easier than before I was drilling pdx drifters. If it wasn't, that would have been a pity.
Barflies felt very, very solid. I am doing them more or less the way Dave helped me to do them. It is more of a one motion thing, instead of "set->watch bag raise->start dexes->do a thin last dex".
I think I am sort of at a 'lull' in where I am at footbag at the moment. I have so many concepts to drill and make perfect before I can start throwing harder tricks in. I mean, I could always do a partially tripless string and then throw in a blurriest or blurry whirl -> bail in somewhere, whether bail is a BOP or just something easy for me, but as people are saying, control is what makes your style look good. So I want to make all of my 3/4's extremely solid, so that whenever I do start 'upping' my game, it wont be such a large transition. Instead of me stretching and trying to beat my record of four fearless, I would like all of my tripless links to be so rediculously easy, that throwing a stepping/spinning/ducking/pdx/whatever in front of it wouldn't be that big of a deal. I think I am getting closer to that goal, as I am consistantly doing more big tripless links. generally consisting of spinning/ducking/stepping-bops, pdx whirls, barflies, torques, blender/dynos. My record is probably about 7 or so uniques so far. By unique, I mean, for example, sidewalk->ripwalk->far butterswirl->ducking butter->torque->barfly->pdx whirl, NOT barfly->barfly->pdx whirl->pdx whirl----
Anyway, in the coming months I wouldn't expect any new big tricks from me, as I haven't in the previous months. This blog will probably be kinda boring.
I might play with Jorden this thursday, so expect some super-cool write up from that
I'll also do a review on 3 shirts and a sick-03 DVD from him, since I hope to purchase them.
On that note, do I find it 'weird' that I am buying previously-sweaty t-shirts from someone? I don't really think so, as they have been washed, and the only thing I am going to do is sweat in them more. I can't wait! New footbag shirts rock.
Oh, I plan to make my own shirt possibly within the next month. I was thinking about using this logo,

I figure it might be kinda narcisstic to have my own shirt, of myself, but then I figure it might be really cool as well. Meh, who knows if I will ever make it.

Anyway, they hurt still. Enough that I didn't want to do them anyway. I had the exact same pain from pdx drifters which was all in the inside hip joint. As of 2 months ago or so, I figured out how to do pain-free pdx whirls, however my pdx drifters still hurt. I solved pdx drifters, with having more pivot from the hip instead of swinging my foot, and voila. However, I didn't like my whirls, and it was nearly impossible to do stepping out of them. Finally pdx whirls are at my command, Matthias (assuming his internet connection is still down) is going to be SO surprised next week. A few days ago with him I tried about 10 pdx whirls, and none of them were close, and I asked him about his and he can really only do it strong side. So I hope I can just walk up and nail it b2b for him.
This post is dedicated to the awesome video Liam027 made for me on pdx whirls. Helped more than Anz' somehow![]()

yo JB!
great writeup, it was awesome to play with you at cornell. You were kind of flipping over some of my easy sixes (locomotion), but I gotta tell you, buddy, you are gonna be a POWER shredder, I can tell by the stuff you're hitting already. You've got some huge moves and great style. I'm looking forward to playing with you again. good to have you back in NA.

hi jay, just wanted to say: vergiss deine wurzeln nicht
things seem to go really well for you in canada. every other week there is another tourney or something. the german scene is pretty inactive at the moment
props for your sick 1. hit my first flipside paradon yesterday. slow, but steady the flipside is catching off...
sometimes I really miss you and all your motivation to become better and better. my parents will go to canada next autumn i think, but there's not enough money in my pocket to go with them. yet!!! but be sure, someday i'll visit you and your beautiful country. just bought a book about canada with mainly photos taken from a helicopter in it. there's so much to see in this country! why did you even thought of going to germany?

Well, I am sitting in my basement, a beanbag chair behind my back, and a beanbag chair under my right ankle. There also happens to lay frozen "legumes" with overtop and surrounding the little fellow, and it is tingling numb.
So, well, Jay has his first sprain/very very loud POP from footbag.
I'll give the background story, Mahhkohh version.
Yesterday's session was entirely dedicated to: Barfly -> spinning butterfly *rpt,
I never got it.
Today's entire session dedicated to: Barfly-> spinning butterfly *rpt,..
So, 35 minutes in, I finally get the camera charged. My plan was, to make a post with a small video in it, as I was sure I would hit it today.
Anyway, my dad came down to the basement to give me a little "talk" about how I may or may not be neglecting my step-mom. Turns out, I was completely un-aware of the fact that she felt like I was excluding her. Anyway, I don't really have hard feelings about my fathers talking to me, because I genuinely had nothing to be guilty about.
So, I get my Peng bag, and kick it twice, and go for a spinning butterfly, and catch the bag mid-air due to a crap set. I think to myself "concentrate, don't think about other things, just play"...
The barfly directly after this thought went as such,
Deep, controlled clipper -> set -> nice large window (I find when you do the barfly massively, the spin is easier to have a big plant on your foot, thus hitting a nice spin out of it), toe of right Gunit skids across the Footbag-mats beneath my feet -> continue'd barfly, because of muscle memory -> notice my ankle not doing so good, jump as far as I can with my left foot off the ground to avoid complete destruction -> land on left foot, completely stable, and shout "OW FUCK!" rather loudly. There were two loud, abnormal pops within the second dex, which I am pretty sure would have been the deepest barfly I have ever done.
So anyway, I'm sitting here wondering how long it is until my ankle feels 100% itself again, so that I can wait that time *2, so that I can be absolutely positive my ankle will be healed. I don't want to do ANYTHING, not even "try" toe-toe stuff to test it, I want to be a gimp until I am sure, and THEN some so that I know I can play footbag again.
So, I guess I can take myself out of the proud group of footbaggers who have never received a nice little injury to brighten their day.
____________
On another note, all of your posts above made my ego soar to about 3 times it's normal level today, thanks alot
I wish I could have "rewarded" you with the video I was two seconds away from making today, but I am sure you all will be much happier to hear that I will take this injury more serious than it is, so that I can make the video later, rather than not-at-all.

So, I guess I can take myself out of the proud group of footbaggers who have never received a nice little injury to brighten their day.

On another note, all of your posts above made my ego soar to about 3 times it's normal level today, thanks alot
