Wait, was it funny because Jeremy has been bashing America in the same snarky, pretentious manner since long before the Chuck Norris jokes and was thus coily poking fun at himself. In that case, yea, it's a decent joke for an Aussie.

In my defence, I read topics from the top to the bottom, and reply as soon I see something to respond to, without reading any further. That's why I double post so often.

edit; but that said, people who hold such intolerant and sexist views are not people I have any respect for, or will pretend to have any respect for. When somebody says "women are a more ignorant than the average house pet," it's hard to see what they possible could have meant, other than something offensive.
