Best World Record for non footbag audience

So there's a possibility that in the near future I will be paid to break a world record (or at least attempt to) in front of 40,000 people (live). If you were doing that, which record do you think would be best to attempt? *note* It doesn't have to be a real world record - if you think ripwalk is the best, and my record is only half the world record, we could just tell the crowd that it's only 40 ripwalks or something instead. Even if some people discovered it was a lie, no media show in Australia would care enough to do a show about it, and if they did, the free publicity would be cool anyway

What about something like Tap, or ATW?

Both of those moves are pretty crowd-friendly.

In theory, DSO or DATW. But in practice, I think drifter or ducking clipper.

Or possibly symp pixie, flail, ducking mirage, smear, symp infinity, pdx whirl, hopover.

Or Sweety Sweetbacks -- most dexes in one trick?

Thanks for the suggestions. Interestingly the moves I thought were best haven\'t been mentioned, but that\'s ok.

I think something that is important to consider is how many reps is a good number. I think over 40 is boring, and people will lose interest. Obviously I want something that I can do with few attempts, but the shorter the reps, the more time for attempts - infinities, ducking clippers etc; people wouldn\'t want to see 60+ drop try again - and getting to 60 and dropping would also be nowhere near the record. I think it would look best to get close to the record as possible, even if I don\'t beat it. I\'d prefer to go for a real record, than to make something up. Nobody attempt any world records for the next 3 and a bit months

I'd suggest choosing a record that the crowd can count to. As you mentioned yourself, hitting 60 rpt is boring. Now 5? 10? 15? that sounds better to me.

regarding the trick itself.. well something that can kinda be understood by an audience is always good. Maybe some same leg double dex like dso or datw as was mentioned.

DSO for sure. For whatever reason people seem to love the single legged double dexes, especially one that can repeat on both sides back to back.

I'd go for 30-40 of something. That time that Vasek displayed his record of 32 diving butters (I can't remember the exact #), but that was exciting, the crowd was counting too and everything. 30-40 seems to be the sweet spot for this type of thing.

I think that's attractive. and, conceivably, being a pretty easy trick, you could legitimately break the record.

Brilliant! People in Australia have 10 fingers on each hand, right? 20 would even be better! You just have to find an interesting, do-able trick. That's all.

barfly (I like this one, records 35)

someone suggested dso, but i dont think its "big" enough

Yeh i reckon somewhere between 20-30 aswell. You dont want to bore ppl, like you said, but at the same time you want to give the crowd (and your employers) some bang for their buck. At least with like 20-something there can be some suspense building but its not like, taking half and hour.

I agree with matt cross. torque to me is the best idea, because when I first say footbag played live and inperson I was so impressed by torques because to the common person you would think that sort of thing is really impossible. I also thing the barfly idea is good to.

In a blow to mankind, they've decided to go for the record of biggest footbag circle 946. Lame. Does anybody know the details of this record. Do every player have to touch the bag without it hitting the ground for the record to count. 1000 in one circle with 1 bag sounds like the most boring way to spend your time ever, can we have multibags?

My idea for this was Superfly - record 9 and held by Vasek. I have been madly skooling my flip superflies since I heard about this, but have a long way to go (my record is now 3) but the aim was to get to a point where I could hit 10 90% of the time.

Oh well, I will madly skool my circle passing skills instead
