Is the answer to this question dynamic? I found the rev whirl to be much easier then the normal whirl, but that might be just me. Or is universally agreed upon that reverse whirls are easier then a normal direction whirl. Anyone got an answer? What do you think.
Pretty much it depends on the person, but I think reverse whirls are easier. Also technically reverse whirls are only a half dex, so they don't get paradox.

Ohhh ok. I did a far rev whirl yesterday and thought to myself "Is this really a four add" But yeah half dex makes sense. Does the same principle apply to Dynos? Does Dyno get paradox add? I'm guessing not...
So what janis said makes sense. Maybe reverse whirling swirl is hard then normal whirling swirl, or maybe reverse Whirr is harder then normal Whirr, what do you think?
reverse whirl is easier and I think got the shaft when it came to trick names. There aren't that many exciting reverse whirl tricks. Helix. Oh well. We still love it.

unless it's setting, like rev whirr, rev whirl is easier.
I think that this is because doing whirl requires you to go over and back under the bag on the downtime. With rev whirl, you go under the bag while the bag rises, and you just have to go over the bag on the downtime.
Yep that's what I said too - if you're trying to go around the bag while it's going up, whirling is an easier set, if you're doing it when the bag is going down, reverse whirls are definitely easier.
I would also say that reverse whirling swirl is easier than whirling swirl (presuming you're doing it original style), however reverse whirling reverse swirl is probably harder than whirling swirl, or whirling reverse swirl (although partly because it's easier to start the whirling dex earlier on the last move).
Its like asking which ones harder, dyno or blender.

Thats the problem i have with the regular whirl. It doesn't feel good. The trick in general is just uncomfortable to me. I've seen one of my whirls on video and they are relatively clean, i just don't like that trick.
Rev whirl is easier if you practice them equally. That said most people rev whirls are iffy so they need more practice.
A while back when rev whirl was first being popularized it was considered much like a butterfly because not enough people were hitting it cleanly.
Oh yes i was trying that yesterday, but i soon stopped, as the session was dominated by BOP's. I was also trying a scattered set, but that is way tougher then it looks.
For scattered, Jorden taught me an awesome trick that makes it, like, 100 times easier. Set the bag really low, maybe a little higher than a swirl. Immediately bring your reverse whirl leg up WITH the bag. Don't dex until it peaks, and just as it peaks bring your reverse whirl down really fast and start the next dex in your trick. From the sounds of it, it doesn't sound like a set, but try it, and you'll see what I mean
