This is a great event, everyone who is attending in Sole Purpose is looking forward to it. It looks like about 10 people from Portland are going now, a mix of open level players, intermediates and beginners. If you haven't experienced this event before, you are in for a treat!

As Matt has just demonstrated, this is an all ages event run by a group of upstanding individuals. Hope to see you and your parents, soon! Something for everyone. :) (yes, even you, Steve)

Hey Hey Footbaggers

Exciting times for the SJFF. I just got the shirt and hoodies for the festival and they are by far the best ever.

Flying Clipper also sent us some of their new footbags (the mighty mite) and juggling balls (the tossaball) and they are really nice.

The bags are small and heavy. I'm not really on the scene anymore but they are best mass produced footbags I've ever seen www.flyingclipper.com

I can't wait to see everyone TOMORROW!!!

Riley and I should be arriving at around 9:30 or 10 tonight. We'll probably miss the Renegade show because of it, so where's everyone meeting afterwards?

Spoonman from last years renegade show was one of the most memorable acts I've ever witnessed.

Hey,
Wow talk about last minute to get things organized. I have been waiting to hear back from my apt manager for a while now and I just got his approval like 5 min. ago.
I got approved to open an empty apt and put all you footbaggers in there. So if you don't have a place to stay, your with me, I should be able to take every one. No one will be denied. Here's my # if you need to make arrangements... 206-251-9295
Talk to you all soon and see you at the Renegade show!

Aaron Nate and I just got into our hotel, heading out to the site in around an hour. Relaxing and taking it easy.

The finals for ripping run were insane. It came down to Jorden, Justin Dale, and Lon, wow what a show. They ALL went for at least fifty contacts then Justin dropped, Lon and Jorden fought it out until the 90 mark though! Then Jorden won and busted four fearless at 100 contacts, remarkable.

Good times, see you guys next year.

I'm surprised more people havent commented, but I'll just say that this event was supremely killer, as expected. I had so much fun, laughed harder than I've laughed in a long time, saw alot of killer shred and juggle, saw and participated in 2 epic shows (this year's renegade show will go down in history as one of the most renegade of all renegades---sorry if you actually missed it), and hung out with some of my favorite people in the world. My only complaint was that the ManRay was closed on Sunday night LOL.
This event lived up to it's reputation and is so full of the real reasons I still attend footbag gatherings after 21 years. Thanks and much love to Brothers from Different Mothers for throwing one of the very best events anywhere.
See you guys in Seattle real soon.

random memories:
-seeing a MT license plate that says "KEVIDOO"
-seeing a hawk rip apart a bird on the sidewalk
-seeing a semi full of illegal immigrants pulled over by several cop cars
-staying up all night playing the wii with james randall (sorry matt baker)
-getting 304'd in justin's spare apartment
-buying alcohol for canadiens
-trying new inventions with nick landes
-James Randall -- always fun
-Kevin Richey getting hammered and locking a parrot in his car
-the big show (crazy yoyo kid, a strong woman breaking a chopstick with just her ass, peter irish, the interpretive water/yoga ball dancers, the bottom-line duo)
-pounding beers with James Randall Sunday morning before shred
-the breakfast joint next to the crackhead alley
-my final circle with James Erickson and Aaron Orton trying mini-shred (no sets above 1 foot from the ground)
-nate's weird tricks
-seeing ben from maine again
-evan gatesman is insane
-pdx torque circle with ben skaggs, red husted, dat phat, and the portland kicker whose name I can't recall
-ben skaggs busting with ease
-beatboxing with sam coclough
-sam potter and stephen barnes' talks with caro
-the ease of getting through seattle airport security
-awkward conversations with a guy at the seattle airport bar (I bailed to find another bar eventually)
-seeing snow in missoula upon arrival (first snow of the season)

Dat!

You are an artist with the lens. Dude those are some great photos. You captured so much feeling from that fest in your photos I felt like I was back there looking at them. It was an epic weekend. Thanks Dat.
