Facile and Chlorine
I can finally play outside because of the weather, but this has raised an interesting concern: my bag falls in the pool sometimes. Is that bad?

As to your first suggestion, I wash it after outdoor sessions anyways. For the second one, though, I only have one facile bag, and I'd rather not ruin it for an experiment.

That's a good point about lead poisoning in the water. But will a 175 pound male be affected (effected?) by it if it only goes in the water for a few minutes at a time? I'd hate to dive in to get it, then die.

Thanks. I know I wouldn't instantly die, but it's kind of a funny image.

The quantity of chlorine in the pool would be far worse for your health than the quantity of lead and neither are that dangerous for your health in such quantities.
Lead poisoning is only a health risk for people over the age of 6 if you work directly with lead every day for an extended period of time. I don't let babies play with my footbags, but I think the level of dilution in the pool would make the levels easily safe.

hey, i am life guard. and i can say: chlorine and footbags are nothing to worry. just wash them after the session when they fall into the pool, i once forgot to take my bag out of my shorts and had a swimming class for 2hours. the bag was just fine.
after all, chlorine doesnt work that way to destroy bags, what it could do, your bag may be bacteria free. thats all!
