Lets get Footbag on espn!!!!!
Lets get Footbag on espn!!!!!
Hey I remember when that guy from americas got talent dissed footbag! This has (months later ) given me and idea
He eventually e-mailed me and probably others that he was sorry and to stop e-mailing him. I just e-mailed espn and asked to see more footbag coverage. If we got half the people who are on modified ans footbag .org to do this, they may air some so we stop filling up there contact box. It don't take long. Go to espn.com than at the bottom of the page it says "contact us" than it says comments than you fill out your request. TRY IT see ya ted f

Is this really the image we want for our sport?

Personally, I don't see it as representing footbag poorly (at least depending on the quality of emails that we send). If it's senseless spam, that's one thing, but if it's a barrage of quality comments requesting more footbag coverage, I see it more as a petition. I think somewhat proper grammar and spelling, and an actual letter, not just "i want footbag on espn", is a good thing to have.
I suppose the OP's idea of just filling their inbox with spam isn't a good thing, however he's got a decent concept. No more than one letter per person is good, and our goal should be to basically petition to get footbag coverage, not to fill up their inbox and they cover footbag just to stop the mail.

Ok I am confused!!! First thing espn.com ------ contact us----- comments--- (boom e-mail) "I would like too see more sports coverage of footbag please, you may go too footbag.org too view the sport I am asking for." Thats it no more no less. I fail to see the problem, they set up this section of there web page for comments, lets make 1 thru 1million thats not terrible. Get too it !!! see ya ted f

i think you guys are misunderstanding ted. what he means is if espn realizes footbag is a popular sport and that there is a high demand, then they would more than likely want to show footbag more. he's not saying email them 5 million times with curse words, insults, random stuff, or whatever. he is saying to email them with genuine interest of seeing footbag on espn, and to do it kindly. he's not saying replace your quality of message with quantity, but rather a mixture of both quality and quantity.
im sure felix's and ellis's videos would be nice ones to link to espn, rather than send them to a site they are unfamiliar with.
be thoughtful, considerate, and curteous. dont just send them messages like "you f***ers better put footbag on there!!" it should sound more of a proposal than a demand.

EXACTLY!!! You must know alot of people who have never heard of footbag as a sport. Well this is NOT espn forum, or there daily e-mail. This is a section of there web page they have presented to the public for comments. Yes I am hoping that they will get alot of comments about presenting footbag. It may even overwelm there system, but than after the guy/girl who is in charge of filtering the comment section gets over being mad. Hopefully they will go to there superiors and say "hey alot of people have been sending in e-mails about this sport called footbag" Now maybe this will spark a little investigation and they will see if they can market it. Remember ESPN is a business not a media outlet. They will only cover sports that have some degree of marketability. Also sending short videos and pictures is good. I do mean to clear up that I am hoping too here that info on FOOTBAG, NOT FREESTYLE OR NOT NET is sent to them. Thats why I sent my e-mail with footbag.org as a source of info. Its cool to have a preference when playing, but not cool to exclude the other when mentioning the sport. see ya go to work who knows there is always progress when many are involed instead of a few

You all definately no more about computers than I do, If a bunch of comments come in at once, can they automatically weed out topics from there web page??? My comment took a few days too get a reply. ITS NOT REALLY IMPORTANT IF THEY REPLY!!! only that they get messages, my guess is that if this helps at all we all won't ever have any idea, it will just appear on espn some day. Be creative like "I was at disney this past year and I saw footbag" or " Hey I saw a video the other day etc." This way it will be harder for them to see footbag players are the ones asking.
KEEP IT UP!!! AND KEEP GOING
