Arthur Ledain and me prepared a show for Incroyable Talent, the French version of America's got talent, watched by around 5 to 10 million people I'd say.

The jury buzzed us out after 1min 15sec. We planned a very easy routine thinking it would be enough for the first round, but it turned out to be a strategic mistake. They made us stop right before the 'difficult' part with the more crowd pleasing tricks (osis, duck, spin, flail, smear). We did have time for some 2 bags juggling, a synchronized synchro, some easy doubles and a bit of one touch.

The critics of the judges were :
'too linear'
'music is too flat'
'it's always the same thing'
etc

The good part is everybody was extremely supportive after our routine, telling us that they couldn't understand why we didn't make it through the second round.

The bad part is they almost completely cut us out the tv show, leaving only 5 seconds of our show. This is really disappointing, because first of all the judges sucked, they made some really shitty talents go through the second round and buzzed out some real talents (i'm not talking about us). Also because the producers let many shitty or ridiculous routines during the whole 2 minutes in the TV version, just because the artists played on the emotional side (wanted the prize money to feed their family, or because it is their life's dream to become professionals for example) or were funny even though their talent sucked.
It's disappointing because this could've been a way better promotion for footbag, and because i feel the few hours of training and the 2 full days we had to stay in the studios were useless...

From that vid, it looks like you guys would have done a wicked job if the judges weren't so focussed on what the media already accepts as cool. I realise it was only a glimpse, but you looked very profesional.

HUGE props on getting that far.

Wish I could see your whole routine. Anyway, good job going in there and giving it a try. The outfits were cool, and from the few seconds of shred I saw it looked like a routine I would have enjoyed watching.

hey, thanks for the link to the full routine. looks pretty good, hearing about fucked up judges is bad, but i think the german kcikers cant say anything better about the judges here. that makes me angry....

i wanna know what that song is called. and who the artist is, i am so searching for this song... please, help me.

haha this is not the exact same routine we did at the tv show where we only prepared a 1min 40sec routine.

1- that was too short for a real footbag tournament so we had to extend it
(which is why there's half of it that is not prepared in the video ; hence the 15 seconds of not doing anything)

2- we edited the original song for the tv show, and we didnt have that version with us at the tournament, so we cut/pasted parts of the routine to fit the unedited version

3- the tv show was filmed 2 months before that tournament and we didn't train once since.

4- we didn't have matching tshirts so we decided to go for it topless.

5- we both dropped the most important part of the routine, the synchro at the very end which is the (only) impressive part

6- the queues weren't as smooth in the video as what we managed to perform for the tv show

7- we had no make up

So the video really is a crappy version of the real routine...
