My Secular Party of Australia flyers are here!
I got to meet our lead candidate as well (she is hot, but married, and her husband is cool, and they're both scientists). Going to go letterboxing tomorrow

I'm pretty keen. Richard (her husband) was also very keen, and despite having a broken leg, has been letter boxing all day.
We're obviously not going to get elected, but give us a few decades and maybe we'll be a force

It's about time there was such a party in Australia anyway. Here is what the flyers say;
Secular
Freedom From Religion
The Secular Party of Australia is concerned about the rising influence of religion on government policy. We wish to establish and maintain a true separation of church and state in Australia.
We Stand For:
*The use of science for human welfare, such as stem cell research.
*Rights of people to control their own destiny, such as voluntary euthanasia.
*The use of rationality to address social, economic and environmental issues.
We Stand Against:
*Government subsidies and tax breaks for religious organisations.
*Government support for schools which force religion onto all students.
*Discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religiosity or sexuality.
