Has (insert viable, difficult trick name here) been hit? PG1
I think Jorden hit something like that at SJFF
It was like a downtime sunil walker, but it was muted. He hit that and then was trying it with a swirl.
I don't think that there is any video conformation of it being clean or not, but it looked pretty clean to me

Hey I have some questions pertaining to some stuff I am currently getting into.
Basically I want to know what flip based tricks anyone knows have been hit or has heard that some dude hit or whatever.
I am pretty sure I will be able to get standing backflip stall soon. This friday at gymnastics I am going to try them on a toit trampoline. Also, I am going to go for crazy quint dexes and stuff. hehe

This sounds like a tale of the legendary Jack Schoolcraft (as in Hall-of-Famer "Jack 'The Father of Freestyle' Schoolcraft"...)max wrote:I've heard of a guy doing a backflip > lap stall.
but I heard this on this "internet" thing so...
I wasn't there to witness it, but if the stories are to be believed...
Jack's big show-stopper grand-finale move was to do a back-flip lap-stall. If I understand correctly, he caught the bag in his lap in mid-flip, not after landing. I would imagine that this was accomplished by kicking the bag up high over his head, doing the back-flip, and just trying to encounter the bag with the middle of his body in the air in the middle of the flip and then simply landing in a tucked/crouched position so that the bag wound up in his lap.
I was also told by an eye-witness to many of these good-old-days competitions (Irish, perhaps, can't remember for sure) that they witnessed Jack TOTALLY EAT SHIT on one of these attempted back-flips. The story teller seemed to think that it was totally hilarious, and I can just about imagine this myself.
Anyway, good luck Mosher. I think that a back-flip toe-stall is totally worthy, despite what some others have said. I mean, is a basic dexing toe stall unworthy and gimmicky? Is a basic spinning toe stall unworthy and gimmicky? A ducking toe? Hell no! Those are simply the basic building blocks of increasingly advanced shred. And from that starting point of a basic back-flipping stall, I can well image you quickly moving on to back-flipping clipper, back-flip butterfly, bak-flip osis, etc. People who can't see the potential of such a skill simply lack vision (to a shocking extent, I'd say), but I'd never say thats been a handicap of yours Tom (though that racket-bag thing... I don't know about that. Well, not every idea can be a good one.
