Noooo -- I've slipped to 6th place in Famecast!!! I need everyone to vote tomorrow. Voting closes NOON tomorrow (the 29th).

Just getting to Austin and having a professional video taken of me would be very beneficial for the sport.

With that being said, VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!!!!

 http://www.famecast.com/jorden

Much thanks!!

Finished in 7th place. Must've been those 2 left feet.

On a positive note, I qualified 3 feet and 3 hands today :!:

-=Friday, Nov. 30th, 2007=-

Had some great news yesterday. While training hack at my circus school (they scored me a gig for tomorrow -- sweeet) the owner came up to me (he's a former World Champ acrobat) and invited me to join the Acrobatics class on Tuesdays!! Totally FREE!! Super stoked to get over my fears and learn some tricking!!!

I've decided to hit up a temp agency next week! I'm tired of being broke and not contributing to society.
The best part is I'm a loser (living w/ my Mom ), thus no expenses so all my paycheques can be put towards my footbag and performing career!! :

2008 is the year of positive change for the Destroyer. No more of this lazy/whiny/lonely bullshit.

I'm gonna get Tom to teach me how to stitch. Right now I know absolutely nothing, but I'm stoked to learn! I have this radical approach to bag-making that you'll all totally dig!!

Losing Famecast was actually a really great thing that happened to me. I felt I was trying to fit a mold. Trying to be accepted by the public as something I'm not. Constantly intruding people's inboxes and clogging the forum with all the Voting threads and stuff left me feeling guilty all this time. Messaging old friends and schoolmates I haven't talked to in YEARS for the sake of pursuing my selfish goals and ambitions. What a shitty feeiling. Pssh, and I'm just glad I can breathe easy and do not have to prepare a World class dance routine while representing the entire sport of footbag in under a week.

Woulda liked to shred with the Austin crew though.

Yo, the circus school is gonna make me a PROMO video!! They own a sick camera and have a breakdance teacher on staff that video edits professionally. Whoo!!!

Not sure if you heard, but I fucking

QUALIFIED 3 w/ the hands and 3 w/ the feet at the same time.

(qualified means you kept it going long enough for the trick to be legit and not just a tease)

What a RUSH!!!!!
It's maybe my biggest accomplishment yet.

Also this rpt combo that I posted earlier but no one read. :lol

 fog > paradon swirl [rpt]

Post here if you're stoked on life right now.

seize this opportunity!! learning of other sports that have parallels to your own (yes, i am not speaking of footbag alone) can extend the knowledge and experience about your body and performances in general (flow, tension, intensity).

props for fog>paradonswirl rep, quite a legbreaking/hip destruction combo 8O

Good for you!! I love seeing this change in attitude Jorden. Tricking is so much fun! I landed my first front tucks yesterday. I'm sure you will catch on a lot faster than me.

You will become an amazing show someday. Good luck with everything. I can't wait to see this pro video.

Life has a funny way of getting things to work out. 8)

Yea Jorden!!! I just read your post and I AM STOKED ON LIFE!! I was already, because a lot has been happening for me, but to read what is going on with you really means a lot. Like, what a great way of perceiving where you placed in famecast, not only psycologically healthy, but dude you did really well too AND a lot of people will see great footbag and juggling and YOU because of it.

Dude TRICKING... I always wished I could do it... I feel like I don't have the body for it.. I dunno I would hope it is just mind over matter.

Jorden my life is so sweet right now! I just moved to Seattle and I'm about to have my own room a job at a nice restaurant.. and total emersion in freestyle footbag juggling training for tricking martial arts and music video editing.

Justin Dale said that we just need to build up momentum. I have been moving around so much that I have just been exploring, but I can already tell I have finaly found my place in Seattle. I can't wait to rock the open mic late at night out of site!!

Really happy to hear you're learning the good stuff.

If you ever need some inspiration go to www.stage6.com and look up golden boy, there are 6 episodes and they tell the story of a student of life and its SO sick! by episode 5 he is so bad ass that he is riding his bike on a telephone WIRE racing a fine lady who is on a motorcycle then jumps a cliff and outruns her she cant even keep up its RIDICULOUS!

It was nice getting to know you at the van ride, I will always look up to you as a master,

Your Student,
Samurai

Cool stuff all around Jorden. Great attitude too.

Don't feel loser about living at home with your mother - it's an opportunity to save up $$$ plus, I'm sure your mom loves having you around. No shame in either of those things.

First acrobatics class.

- proper front roll
- proper back roll
- thread the needle > reverse thread the needle
- proper donkey kick
- flip cartwheel (needs work)

Got a great exercise for my handstands as well.

Need to remember to stretch every day :!:

Still gonna try and audition for National Circus School in February.

Hey Jorden,

Where are you doing these acrobatics? Hamilton/dundas aren't that far from me, I may have time and interest enough to make it out to some sessions. Free you say??

Also, were you needing a ride to NYJ? Let me know.
