Freestylin in the Graveyard (Net...)
I posted some tips for the GREs in the Homework Help section I believe, you may want to check it out.
Oh, and you and Emily were in a footbag nightmare I had last night. I wrote about it in my blog.
Looking forward to seeing you at Worlds. I think Jon S. has a travel scrabble kit, so I'll remind/convince him to bring it.

Shredded 4 or 5 days ago, it was ok.
Shredded today.
spinning osis bs a few times
spinning pdx mirage bsos in a sweet 20-ish contact run
some good ducking combos
phoenix bsos!
ripwalk>pdx drifter bs
drifter>dlo rpt
swirl
I hit whirl bsos... and tried a pdx whirl, I'm not gonna do those anymore.
And that's about it. Woo woorlds!

Worlds was fun. Shredded at Stanford with the Czech team and the stanford club, then hung out at Steve's. It was fun, I learned how to beat box a little.
Bb-tt-ch-tt-tt-bb-ch-bb-tt-ch-tt-bb-bb-tt-ch-tt If that makes sense at all?
But now I have a job, and my body feels like shit.
Highlights of worlds : Emily won 3rd in women's routines
The parties were fun, my house had the biggest party but it got trashed and we owe them a little $ now.
I shredded and played some net, hit 6 unique tripless (duck>dive>weave bfly,) and had some sweet spikes on the net court. I also hit some new combos like smear>plo rpt and some ok runs, my shred feels really sub-par though... And I probably won't play for at least 2 weeks.
There was a lot more than that, but nothing more I care to write about right now.
I'm going to make an appt. for physical therapy monday. or sooner.

Played freestyle behind the Capitola mall with Emily and "Air Jer" Mirken.
It was pretty fun, except the part where we had to duck for cover under an overpass while 100 flocks of seagulls flew overhead aiming for passersby.
blur>phoenix>string
pixie ss pickup>pixie op pickup RPT
some good ducking combos like always (my bread and butter, but I still need to get more consistent.)
nothing else new really, tried reverse swirl a little bit.

Thanks Emily
The foot eh, she is not so good. It's much better than it was, but it still hurts when I put weight on it certain ways, and I definitely can't play footbag for a little while yet. I'm hoping that I might be able to play at new year's jam, but the way things are going I doubt it.
I survived my 21st bday last night. I had several friends tell me they were going to get me to puke, but I held out. I hung out in the bathroom while it spun for a while, but I held out.
We went to dinner at a sri lankan restaurant, then downtown Santa Cruz to:
The Red Room: Irish car bomb, Bombay IPA, Guinness
Rosie's: Irish car bomb
Blue Lagoon: Anchor Steam and GOTH INDUSTRIAL DANCING !!! hahahaha, my definition of lameness pretty much.
The Catalyst: Fat tire, sierra nevada and Pool!
I had a really great time. Now I just have to recover so I can play footbag!

I played net yesterday... it was super fun, I had some crazy sweet plays with Jeremy and Alexi... a few killer inside sweeps, 1 real good tattoo, some hard toe reverses and a scuff, and hit my first flying bitchslap but it went into the net. I got a compliment on how good my long legs looked flying through the air.
Sweet.
In other news: My toe is feeling better.. I'd say like 80%. My ankle is feeling a bit worse though, which means I need to lay off of net for a little while longer. And also, I have to stop typing because I smashed my index finger into .. *stops using index finger*... a pool table while drunk on my birthday. ow.

Gee golly, you sound more injured than me. I hope for a quick recovery.
Irish Car bombs eh? I tried a few too many (for the first time) during my birthday last week. Plus a bunch of "Flaming Satchels" (tequila+tebasco) and topped off with a level 65 in century club.
I didn't puke
....too much

First think about how to practice or don't bother practicing.

I made a bag today (just now) that really reminds me of your style.
I used single floss, .6, .8, 33%, low bite, and mid-high (not high-mid) gather. fill is different than yours, I'm sure... quite empty, mostly lead, a little plastic, so we'll forget about that...
sound familiar?

Happy belated B-Day!
Glad to see that you're rocking the car bombs
can you elaborate what these are? (hard toe reverses, scuff, and flying bitchslap)...unless you're just poking fun at freestylers and making things up
I really want to learn net, but the snow has come. what are some indoor things you can do to practice?

Get a net bag and kick it consecutively against a wall. The bag always comes back to you as if another kicker was kicking it to you.
Make it out to the Phoenix Jam in January.
Do you own a net bag? I could maybe send you a used/crappy one.

I wish I had a REAL picture... it was pretty much the funniest thing I've ever seen.I got a funny picture in my head of "goth industrial dancing"
Do like Jeremy says for the net practice... the pole idea would be good for practicing spikes in the beginning, and then you'd have to practice with a moving bag.
toe reverse = back towards the next, extend leg up and kick ideally at your leg's highest point on the top of your toe, just like it sounds.
scuff = a spike that didn't get full contact, or hit in the right place (I think..)
and a bitchslap is the sweetest spike ever, it looks like an inside sweep but then you turn into the bag and hit it with the sole of your toe.
@Matt: That sounds pretty much like my bags, except that template (the one I always used before, I use 3 diff ones now,) was a little bigger, I think it was .7 and .85/ 33%.

I am feeling really depressed.. I'm hoping it's just my injuries and lack of exercise, which I think it is... but god damn. I'm not even looking forward to New Year's Jam because I don't think I'll be able to play, and I know I'll have fun anyways probably but if I could get a refund on my tickets and find someone to take my spot for the hotel room we reserved, I'd probably do it right about now. Things really aren't that bad and I'm trying to tell myself to sack up but I just feel like shit. Bah.
