Oh yeah, the stuff they send is extended Algebraic notation (as opposed to algebraic notation)

Hey thanks for the link to chessproblems.com, blue_turnip! A friend 'taught' me how to play a couple of weeks ago and now I'm in the stage when the computer takes it away no matter how long it takes him

. So basically I'm looking for games that let you adjust difficulty level.

Start with low level computers I suppose (if they're programmed well), and try to mix it with playing people on-line.

I personally don't know of any good chess software, because I don't really play computers.
