Although... its also kind of like right out of reality too. Of course I'm talking about 9/11/2001. G.W. Bush used a disaster (in NYC, as well as D.C. and Pennsylvania) to unite a country and lead us off to war, assuming greater power than he should hold along the way.
Scarily enough, I guess you could say that the current US leaders are the ones who are ripping off The Watchmen. It begs the questions: was 9/11 staged? And if Bush is the real Petrelli, who's the real Linderman? I don't really want to start in on that again, but then, I never really thought of it in this way before. Kind of weird...
Yeah, it could be good. I'd have serious reservations about this, fearing that they'd just screw it up, and maybe better that they just leave it alone instead, but yeah, Rorschach and Doctor Manhattan and The Comedian are such cool characters. They would make for an awesome show.on a side note, how good would a serialized tv show based on the Watchmen be? I would fucking love to see that.
