best session ever

Kicked outside with matt in 25 degree weather. My lungs were so relieved, so I guess this is a sign.

atomsmasher b2b X2 from bad side, X? from good side.
atomsmasher-legbeater both sides
atomsmasher-atomic far eclipse

paradon-whirl both sides
paradon-dyno both sides

rev. whirl- whirl X3 on good side in one string, and in the same side once on the weak side!
3X consecutive rev. whirls on one side then 2X consecutive on the other.
later I did the same numbers flipped
off-side whirl-dyno twice

DOD-PM on my right side
Fairy ss infinity

Other side symposium mirage

And some very good strings all in all. Plenty of paradons.

Also I showed my boss "Ian Shreds" today. He asked me what was in my bag (g-units). One thing led to another. We'll see how that goes.

Matt is sick.

Cold session. Longer than yesterday. Jake wasn't feeling the outside jam. I'm pretty wary of the "secret shred spot". What is it going to take to find a respectable place to kick in Pittsburgh during the winter?

Matt hit pixie eggbeater.
His paradox DLO- Eggplant was hard-earned and cool.

Jake kicked with us for a while despite being really miserable in the weather so he gets big props for that.

It took me a long time to warm up today, in fact I can't say I ever did, though I did school many things and hit some very satisfying new combinations.

I footed atomic ss dyno my first and only try. I can see this being on both sides in the future but there are specific things I would like to school first.
Paradon-Gyro Mirage was cool. First try too.
Weak ripwalk- weak whirl-osis-pm-hand grab. This was a big deal for me.
Big improvements later in the night with my stepping set. I forget how but I linked into my weak blur and finished the string off with paradons and dynos.

I'm so tired. Jake's going near state colllege this weekend, Matt's going to Iowa and I'm going to Baltimore. Weird. I bet the two bags I have been waiting on will both come Saturday. :?

I had indian food for lunch every day this week.
5 consecutive reverse whirls both sides.
Lots of rusty tiltless combos.
Worked stepping sets.
Studied computer vision algorithms for the purpose of completing some important projects.

Now to delete 30 GB from my laptop so I can install my new version of Ableton live.

In the last week my footbag game, my job, my diet, and my media studies have all been going well. I think it's the Indian food.

Hi Steel City guys

Jake and I discussed kicking at my parent's house while I'm in the burgh area for x-mas. I can do the 23rd at 1 p.m. If you show up a little early (say noon), you can meet Keegan and Emily while we're stretching etc. Afterwards, my mom will give us cookies and beer.

Who is in? We're talking about Cranberry PA, PM me and I'll give you exact address so you can mapquest.

Really hope you guys can make it! Would love to get a little on vid too, haven't seen myself play for years.

I would be very interested. Especially since it is a Sunday. Jake's got the only wheels so let's see what he says.

I just got my Wasabi bag in the mail. It's really pretty to look at and will be play well without a doubt.

I hope that nothing bad happened to my Clavens bag though. Surprised I haven't seen it yet.

Bob, it's lookin' like I'll be around pgh then. If so we'll definitely cruise up for cookies and beer...and footbag.

Ian, I've got your clavens bag.

I had the pleasure of playing with Pipenburg and Clavens in Penn State this weekend. Sickness was witnessed, I don't think there's a drill or mirror combo dave can't hit. Word up, I love livin in PA.

Awesome! So glad you'll be able to make it. I PM'd Caleb just in case - I tried to assert my elder authority over him. ha ha

Anyhow, since Jake has the wheels, I'll PM him the directions etc. Ian, please come too! 3 is better than 2 and I've been enjoying watching your recent vids

Today was going to be a good day. I was going to go running with my sister, play footbag, and change the universe. Instead I woke up really ill, felt really bad and then had incredible fever dreams.

Fever dreams can lead to insights. For example: I need to remind myself to chill out and takes things one thing at a time.

Best two strings I've ever hit were today. long, controlled, varied, guiltless.

The last few days I tried to develop off-side whirl, briefly at home. Yesterday I went beyond bailing to osis out of it and hit at least three into paradox mirages. Today I whirled out of paradon on my first try. It's getting a lot better. The other side is still good too. I hit two consecutive which was nice. I will continue to work on them.

Kicked atomic swirl. That was fun. I'll have to remember that one for later.

Stepping sets started out really well in the beginning but quickly faded as I got tired.

Music makes a big difference when I kick.

Jake hit some nice strings.

Good times.

My first work x-mas party
I took out all of my coworkers in air hockey tonight.
My girlfriend and I won a trivia contest 8)
Beat the scary uber-alpha-male I'm afraid at pool 8O
and then got decimated by my boss of at darts.

Fun night. Only one thing missing though. Tomorrow will be a good day. Hope Jake can make it.

Chilling at Jake's, making a huge steak. People coming over. A little anti-social cause my back hurts. Hit some new stuff though:

Paradox whirl on both sides. First time ever. I question a previously reported mullet's validity now that I have hit these. These came as a result of schooling whirls out of torques, which I have not hit yet but where looking very close.

Good times on the b2b atomsmashers.

Good times on the torques.

Good times on the ducking moves though I get sloppy sometimes.

Drifters are getting there. Very good on one side. Happening, like my whirls on the other.

My back hurts. Steak. Jake and I look forward to kicking with Rieferman next weekend.

YEAHHHHHHHHH! Me too! I shredded for the first time in soooo long Saturday. Not practiced, shredded. I was so nervous that I wouldn't be able to do anything. And I wanted to shred once before I saw you guys so I wouldn't totally suck. Now I'll only partially suck. Ha ha. Can't wait!

That steak was ridiculously enormous and delicious. Ian can play chef at my place whenever he likes.

I've recently begun to appreciate the incorporation of far osis into strings where I'm already doing alot of spinning. It spices things up a bit to switch directions.
I enjoyed saying "Open your window up and hop" and seeing Ian hit his first paradox whirl.

lol, I enjoyed that also. Thanks for the advice.

Frig. My back still feels crappy, but I will stretch well and play safely tomorrow. I think it is actually my left hip. I will try and pay attention to it while I am playing.

I've learned more about things that mean a lot to me in the last few weeks than I have in a while. I think the Indian food is helping! Srees!

boy it's late.

Jake and I kicked. Tried to take it really easy because of my back.

My one side was really weak for atomic sets as well as paradons.

Good news. I hit ps whirl again on my second or 3rd try.

Some nice links:
Paradon to far reverse whirl (by accident. going for paradox whirl)
paradon- drifter on both sides. First try on the strong side.
lots of well-managed torques.
Paradox illusion bsos midstring first try- again!

There must have been more. Whatever. It was short and laid back. Saving up energy for Sunday.

Peace.

First off: Bob's family is wonderful.

Jake and I kicked with Rieferman today. It was great fun. We thought Caleb might show up but it did not happen.

Bob's got some skills. I hope he keeps with it. I was very much inspired by him today and I also learned a lot. Paradons, especially make a lot more sense now. Thanks man!

Just edited all of the unnecessary talk and weak/short strings out of an hour+ of footage. Still have 30 minutes left to edit-down.

Highlights: far symposium reverse whirl bsos.
atomic dyno
etc. All on tape. Yeah. It's cool to have footage of most of the highlights I've done over the last few months in one concise video.

Jake played really well. I don't even know what to say about that. Keep it up bro :)

Matt emailed Jake and I on xmas to say he hit a pretty rad combo:
blur-pixie legover-alpine atomsmasher. Pretty cool. Can't wait to see him next week on my 30th birthday!

I kicked a few hours by myself outside tonight. It was a really mild day but it was cold enough that my lungs felt strong and my body wanted to keep warm.

Reiferman gave me one of my best xmas presents it seems: advice. I hit more paradons and with greater accuracy than ever before. Oh, and they looked like paradons too.

Stepping set is looking better too. I told myself to catch my clippers in the same sweet-spot as lavers and the sets are much smoother.

Weirdness alert: I hit well over ten symposium whirls on my bad whirl side today. Maybe two or three on my strong whirl side.
