I appreciate where your coming from Holly and i thank you for your criticism of my views. It has caused me to think about why i think that way, and i have come to the conclusion that i shouldn't be judgmental of people based on little things like this. So i thank you, and hope you have a long, fulfilling life.
Yours truly

Oh come on.
If he's smart enough to know the name "drifter" I'm sure he's seen some real footbag videos. I'm sorry, but I really do think this guy is an idiot (especially because he's made tutorial videos on EXPERTvillage) and I don't think we should feel bad for thinking so.
I still hope you have a long, fulfilling life though Holly.

i think you boys need to climb down off your high horses before you get pulled off. his heart is in the right place, even if his efforts are sub par info-wise. if he has been around the scene i'm sure he has picked up words or misinterpreted trick names. i remember busting phoenix infront of some hackers and their comment was "hey he did a super jester stall but it went around his head first" yet they totaly missed the fact that i did a pixie set first. Could we falut those kids for posting "phoenix" as toe ducking butter considering that is what they believed they had seen on one occasion? its possible this guy came up with his moves in the same manner.

Hold up.. I think this dude might have been paid to submit 'expert' videos...
in which case I totally take exception to the view that he is an expert. User submitted video is totally a different concept from that of paying a 'professional' to perform. There are an awful lot of far more talented players (me included, which really makes this site all the more distressing) that are deserving of a little financial incentive to make far more knowledgeable, clear, and formal instructional footbag videos to help get more people involved in the footbag scene.
Don't get me wrong. there is no proper way to perform footbag. On the other hand, this guy is at such an amateur level by the community's standards that i just can't be comfortable with him being billed as an expert.
there. my two cents. what am i going to do about it? nothing. just saying

from the site:
"How much do you pay per Assignment?
Our average payment per assignment is $300, but we have assignments that range from $100 to $1,000. The pay per Assignment is based on two factors, the clip scale and the number of clips requested. For more difficult assignments we may pay a higher clip scale, but expect you to complete a fewer number of clips. Likewise, for easier assignments, we may pay a lower clip scale, but expect a higher number of clips. The clip scale, and number of clips requested can be found on the Available Assignments page."
this dude didnt deserve it.

That guy got payed to make those videos? Wow, i agree with Semiconscious, While this guy went out on a limb deciding to make instructional videos for such an underground sport, i don't think he should have gotten paid. But then again you could say it was the sites idea, and that this guy had no clue what he was saying, just reading a script or something, but thats a bit far fetched. We should see if a footbag master could make some videos for this site that actually demonstrate footbag in a literate manner. The money they make could be used to further the sports publicity, or could be donated to freedom footbags, or the IFPA. So many possibilities for a footbagger thats making money off of his skills. Hopefully that'll become a widespread reality. But right now I'm content playing for myself. Sometimes we just gotten look back at why we started playing in the first place. I know i did it cause i though it looked sweet. I didn't do it thinking i was gonna get fame, or fortune, or acceptance. It was just a game to me, a game i wanted to be the best i could be at. I try to keep that mindset every session so i don't get angry over it not being very productive, and lets face it, everyone who plays has those kinds of sessions..... Woah, i gotta stop ranting. Hope i didn't bore anyone. Anyway, back on topic.

I didnt mean to sound bitter that I wasn't getting paid for doing instructional footbag videos. I don't deserve it one bit. I hope that nobody interpreted my rant as such. I just don't feel people should be paid, or publicized as preofessionals when they really aren't. Footbag is fragmented enough as it is. Don't people agree that any of the excellent tripless players out there could provide a far more insightful set of 15 instructional videos. Although I am definitely ignoring a whole bunch of names that fit into this list, I can think of 5-10 people who are far more suited to providing instruction just off the very top of my head...
Whatever. I'm sure nobody watches those anyway. Anz's videos probably have more views (they damn well better).

I have almost every single one of Anz's videos in my media player, they helped my illusions like crazy. I'm hitting them all over the place now, they used to suck. Anyway, i think this thread can kinda lie down and go to sleep now. What was going to be said has been said. So good night, and good luck.

I have to be honest I'd be very annoyed if that guy got paid for those videos.
On a more positive note, I'll be posting some trick tutorial videos on my website soon (www.footbagclub.com). Hopefully they will be more helpful.

Oh my god!
Seriously, he is making us look so stupid!!
He needs to connect with a local footbag club to get shown what the fuck is up.
It's all so SO wrong and not helpful to anybody.
Bleh, this guy needs a wake-up call!
He is totally just doing those for the money.
