Post by Rieferman »

Kenny hit nuclear inspinning mirage (on video still at the philly footworks website I believe) a long while back. Since then, I don't remember seeing that type of trick in a video. Got me thinking... What other really cool, difficult tricks haven't you seen in awhile? Maybe some of the superstars out there will take this as a challenge

Johnny Murphy hits Nuke Inspinning Mirage I believe.

Cool thread idea, although I haven't been around long enough to add to it.

Let me add a ground rule.. Since some of the stuff we're talking about might be less common than some other tricks, if you could explain the trick as components that'd be really helpful to me (and probably some others). Like, what is warp? etc.

Swirling symp whirl. Johnny Murphy hit this on the Aussie Nats vid from 05, and Felix and Vasek hit it synchro in one of Mads Hole's Worlds 06 vids, but I haven't seen it recently anywhere.

I also haven't seen singularity (symp whirling flapper) on video in a looong time.

Warp is the coolest trick ever! :D

It's in the move nickname thread, but here it is:

Warp (ADD 7)
Warping Mirage
Symposium Atomic Atomic Mirage
Toe > (no plant while) Op Out (DEX)(BOD) > Op Out (DEX)(XDEX) >> Op In (DEX)(XDEX) > Op Toe (DEL)

Chris Pinkus busted a couple in some vids, and I think I also saw a video of Jorden Moir hitting it too.

When I first started getting into freestyle the videos of Pinkus were posted and inspired me. Maybe someday I'll be able to hit it...

I miss Chris Pinkus.
Byrin was also doing the warp set a while back.
I post a video of him hitting peglegbeater in PegLeg's blog...

These aren't really as hard tricks, but I don't see nearly enough bullwhips or motion sicknesses!

I don't think I'd ever seen Dimwalk swirl hit before yesterday, when Cody Rushing hit it twice, barefoot of course.

Warping set is one of those things, that only with stuff like gyro-furious set very few people can do, but it is awesome to watch.

I would like to see some of the big names today bust out leaning set. Peter Irish was doing it all over the place at worlds last year and it's about time someone else brought that back. Same with atomic-inspinning and atomic-gyro.

Monsters seem to really be catching on I thought. Like Jorden is doing them and now Dave is doing them.

Well, I guess that's it. But still.

I love all stuff that has to do with frigid osis/refraction. I've been incorporating frigid osis into my runs a lot, one of my favorite things is frigid osis>reverse walkover. it feels pretty cool. But yeah anyway, may i ask a question, whats a monster? I can't seem to find a good description of it anywhere, and i keep hearing about it.

In watching Gordon's recent "happy birthday" video again last night, I noticed he hit a stomping DLO I believe. That's something I haven't seen a lot of in awhile. Also, not since Peter have I seen really BIG stomping (Peter would really exaggerate the stomp and the jump). I also can't remember seeing stomping with a prefix on it such as spinning or stepping, but I would think that's possible.

Of course this one is more of a stylistic choice vs. some of the other hard/rare tricks

Didn't Sergey hit that like in 2 separate videos? I love that move.

Was it Kenny who hit sym whirling sym whirl?

I haven't seen smiling stuff - or any super Vasaka Stuff in like forever. Is he hoarding all his footage for some "All Time" greatest shred video or something? Is there anything for sell with current Vasek? We need a web cam on him 24/7 so we can see his secret shred.
Go out and shred already.

Well, the prize for the logo contest is a Vasek DVD and Honza said you'd get it, so I figured it would be released at the end of this year? Maybe not, but he's making one. :)
