Expert Village Hacky Sack "Instructional Videos"
There's a link to http://www.footbagworldwide.org link at the top of each page. It's the wrong site, but it was a good intentioned attempt to link to .org.

I'm a beginner and my perspective is the narrower aspect of the instructional benefit of a video, rather than the wide lens of the positive/negative exposure it gives footbag. On my little front, all I can say is that I feel blessed for having found Anz tricks before I ran into this man. Good for him for conning ExpertVillage into presenting him as a footbag expert (how is that positive?), but if I had only his videos for guidance I don't know where I'd be right now. Unlearning overswoops at best.

I would hate to be the guy who saw that drifter vid, hit clipper kick> clipper kick in a circle with someone who freestyles, and had to be told "um, no, that's not a drifter."
I don't care about the 'exposure' this provides. All the stuff about 'expertise' is a little grating but not the real issue. Its just bad information. So best of luck Ben.
We don't know if he pitched himself as an expert or not. Maybe the people who run this site saw him hacking somewhere and were like "hey we've got this site..."

I can't remember when it was that I first spotted these videos but it was probably something like 6 months to a year ago. It bothered me that the guy was promoting his videos as "expert" level and in particular that some of the videos were clearly inaccurate ("merging clipper"??). I remember trying for nearly an hour to post a simple comment of the EV site, but for some reason I just couldn't get it to post - It kept saying "invalid character" or some stupid thing, even if the comment was like one word
.
I have to say though that I agree with Jorden: At least he made the effort to make the videos *and* he got paid for it. Props for that. Exposure is exposure, but I'd really like to see someone more professional representing footbag.
I considered making my own videos for Expert Village, but I already have my own site and have been working on making my own. I think someone with time on their hands could put together some nice videos for Expert Village, and get some cash in return (a rare thing in footbag!)... I'm just not sure if Expert Village will be willing to pay two experts (even if one isn't).
I'll be putting out more beginner videos after the Christmas rush ends. I really enjoy making them and I feel that they will really be helpful to new players. It's fun to show stuff in super-slow-motion that the untrained eye would normally miss. I think my next video will be on the elusive 'pivot'.
Peace.

Everyone needs to get their closed-minded asses off their computers and go down to your local mall or village square or trailer park roundabout or whatever public place you have and play footbag. Quit your damn whining and complaining about some nice kid who got paid to kick a sand bag around and do something constructive. If you are not out there in the public eye playing footbag or promoting the sport some other way, you are doing more damage to our sport than some kid doing clipper kicks on youtube.com and calling them merging clippers.

Damn I just wasted a lot of potential shred time to read this post.
P.S. Mike Anello is a really nice guy once you get to know him. Trix.
