How Long does it take?

how long does it take some of you to stitch a 32 panel/8 panel?
because it takes me a grip to stitch an 8 panel but it takes me less time to make a 32

my 32's take me 3-4 hours...never stitches a 8 panel before but i'd prolly take 1 hour on them since i take 30 mins on a 4 panel.

Most of the time i do it all in one sitting. But on like weekday or days i have to get stuff done i can't.

I feel that my gather, stitch placement and stuff all stay the same if i do it in one sitting and if i leave it unfinished and come back later i may have my gather off a bit or my stitch depth a little off.

which would you suggest for a beginner to do a 12 or a 32?

14 panels are super easy. They're like a simpler 32. Instead of pentagons, you use squares or circles and just sew like a 32 panel. I think in the long run, when someone is used to sewing 14 panels, they can sew 32s pretty easily due to the similar methods in transition.

12s are moderate imo. I know I messed up my first 12 when I started them. However, they're pretty practical for footbag performance.

i only make 4's and 32's.

4 panels take about 15-20 mins including cutting out.

32s take 2-2.5 hrs. when i started stitching, 32s took like 4-5.

spiked 32s take like 4hrs

i usually do the whole bag in 1 or 2 sittings... depending more on how much time i have (in class, at home, etc) to kill.

tracing panels takes the longest. but it saves facile, not being so wasteful.

Matt Cross said that he went straight to 32s, so that's what I did, and I recommend it.
I think it takes me prolly 3-4 hours also. Maybe more like 3 though?
Tracing and cutting is a pain, but I usually do 3 bags at a time and then it's out of the way.
